“Ma Mao?”
Tang Guo stood in front of Ma Mao, a smile playing at the corner of her mouth. “What are you doing here? Checking to see if I’m doing well or just here to show off? Or maybe you’re here to vent for the person you like?”
None of the above.
Ma Mao wanted to say, but looking into Tang Guo’s eyes, he didn’t know what to say.
He had already prepared the lines he wanted to say to Tang Guo. He planned to threaten her, say some harsh words, claim that Wei Yue couldn’t protect her, and accuse her of being an ugly freak that Wei Yue was merely playing with.
But when he faced her in person, he forgot all his previous words.
He didn’t know why, but he couldn’t bring himself to say them.
At least, not when facing this face. He cursed inwardly. If it wasn’t for this face, he definitely wouldn’t have softened.
Yes, it was the same face as Ji Xiaosi’s. Otherwise, he would have jumped up and cursed her out.
“I…”
“If there’s nothing important, please don’t appear in my sight. You should understand that I really dislike you.” Tang Guo put away her smile, her disdain in her eyes completely undisguised.
Yes, anyone would hate, or rather, despise someone who had ruined their own face. How could there be no resentment in their heart?
Ma Mao clearly saw the unmasked disdain, and he couldn’t help but take a step back.
Even though he was the school bully at No. 2 High School, beating up more people than he could count, and even having stabbed someone and seen blood, when he saw the disgust in her clean eyes, he suddenly felt a strange panic.
“If you dare to boast in front of me just because my Tang family can’t do anything to you, let me advise you, leave immediately.”
The students from No. 1 High School noticed the situation and heard that the guy with dyed blond hair was Ma Mao. They all showed expressions of disgust.
It was one thing to act arrogantly at No. 2 High School, but he even came to their No. 1 High School to bother people.
Seeing Wei Yue wasn’t here, they quickly notified the few boys closest with Wei Yue.
Before long, several tall guys quickly ran over and nervously stood beside Tang Guo.
“Sister-in-law, did Ma Mao bully you?”
“He blocked my way. Can you guys throw him out?”
“No problem.”
Since the boss made it clear that they didn’t have to fear Ma Mao, they had never been polite to him. What were they afraid of? What would the boss do? Moreover, he dared to bully their sister-in-law, and they wouldn’t tolerate it.
Ma Mao didn’t even have a chance to say anything before he was carried out by the guys. He stood gloomily at the entrance. This wasn’t his territory, so he really couldn’t do anything.
Just thinking about the disgust in those eyes made him uncomfortable.
“Ma… Ma Mao?”
Turning around, he saw Ji Xiaosi, and seeing the frightened look in Ji Xiaosi’s eyes, he didn’t even have the heart to tease her anymore. He turned and left.
Ji Xiaosi breathed a sigh of relief. Although Ma Mao liked her and said he wouldn’t hurt her again, she was still afraid. She was afraid that Ma Mao would be in a bad mood and throw a bottle of sulfuric acid at her.
Ma Mao walked back to No. 2 High School. When he saw Ji Xiaosi earlier, he didn’t find her particularly attractive. It seemed like he didn’t like Ji Xiaosi that much anymore.
He didn’t know what was going on. What was even scarier was that the person he kept thinking about in his mind was the girl with the ruined face, especially the way she walked with a smile. He couldn’t get her out of his mind no matter what.
