The Supporting Female Character Refuses to be Cannon Fodder Chapter 106

Jiang Yu sneered, “Divorce? How can it be so easy? Even if you want to divorce, you have to separate cleanly. I want to know whether these two are my children!”

After saying that, Jiang Yu slammed the door and left. Qin Miao immediately collapsed onto the sofa holding Jiang Siyu. How did she and Jiang Yu end up like this?

Jiang Lianyu’s mind was in complete chaos from Jiang Yu’s words. What did he mean by that? Weren’t she and Jiang Siyu his children? Why did he want to do a paternity test?

She staggered toward Qin Miao, her voice trembling. “Mom, what did Dad mean? Why does he want a paternity test? Aren’t we Dad’s children?”

Qin Miao cried out, “How would I know what madness he is up to? He got an email from someone saying that Siyu has no blood relation to him, and he just went crazy. Siyu was born with him watching, how could there be no blood relation?”

Jiang Lianyu pursed her lips. “Mom, are you really sure Siyu is Dad’s son? No one can say if that paternity test is real, but why did you just stop Dad from going to do a test just now?”

“If the paternity test really gets done and the results come out, he won’t be able to say anything, and you can prove your innocence, right?”

Jiang Lianyu thought it was simple, but Qin Miao did not think so. As for whose child Jiang Siyu really was, even she herself couldn’t be sure. If it really turned out there was no relation to Jiang Yu, Qin Miao didn’t dare imagine it.

“No matter what you say, I won’t go do this paternity test.” Qin Miao pursed her lips and held onto Jiang Siyu without letting go.

Jiang Lianyu looked at Qin Miao and suddenly felt the world spinning. “Mom, could it be that Siyu really isn’t…”

She didn’t even dare finish the sentence. It was too shocking. If Jiang Siyu really wasn’t Jiang Yu’s son,
would there still be a place for them to survive in this family?

Qin Miao screamed, “Shut up! Siyu is Jiang Yu’s son. He will only have Jiang Yu as his father. I say he is Jiang Yu’s son, so he is!”

Jiang Lianyu lost her balance and fell onto the sofa. “Mom, you are too daring. What do we do now? We’re really stuck in a difficult situation. Dad is dead set on doing a paternity test with us.”

Qin Miao was extremely anxious. “I’ll think of something. I’ll think of something.”

But besides repeating that sentence over and over, she couldn’t think of anything at all. The always-protected Jiang Siyu finally reacted. He threw down his phone. “Am I really not Dad’s son?”

Qin Miao was flustered. “I said you are, so you are. Don’t make trouble!”

But no matter how hard Qin Miao racked her brain or how unwilling she was, the next day Jiang Yu brought Jiang Siyu and Jiang Lianyu to the paternity testing agency with an unyielding attitude.

How could a weak woman like Qin Miao fight against Jiang Yu’s forcefulness? To avoid any accidents, she had no choice but to follow behind to see.

When she watched the staff personally collect hair samples from Jiang Lianyu and Jiang Siyu, Qin Miao felt uneasy. She wasn’t worried about Jiang Lianyu’s result at all because when she gave birth to Jiang Lianyu, Jiang Yu was the only man she was with.

But with Jiang Siyu, it was different. At that time, Qin Miao’s life was a mess, and she had been involved with several men one after another. As for whose child Jiang Siyu really was, Qin Miao truly did not know.

She just didn’t dare tell Jiang Yu. If she did, her whole life would be over. So Qin Miao told Jiang Yu that she was pregnant again, and it was a boy.

Naturally, Jiang Yu was overjoyed. Coming from the countryside, he still had the old thinking about carrying on the family line. Hearing it was a boy, he valued Qin Miao even more.

Waiting for the result was extremely hard. Usually, a report like this wouldn’t be issued immediately because it needed analysis, but Jiang Yu was desperate to know, so he paid to rush it.

The agency told him to wait a day, and Jiang Yu really waited there the whole day. Qin Miao, Jiang Lianyu, and Jiang Siyu also didn’t dare to leave. At five o’clock in the afternoon, the report finally came out.

Jiang Yu couldn’t wait to flip to the last page. When he saw the line confirming that there was no blood relation between father and son, his vision went black.

He threw the report in Qin Miao’s face. “See for yourself. This is the good son you gave me? All these years, I’ve been raising someone else’s child? Whose child is he?”

Qin Miao’s hands shook as she picked up the report from the floor. Seeing the result, she could barely stand. She shrieked hoarsely, “No! Siyu is your child! There must be a mistake. I demand a retest!”

The researcher on the side was displeased. He said coldly, “Madam, our testing agency is a third-party agency under the Department of Justice. We are qualified and can guarantee the objectivity and authenticity of this report.”

“No matter how many times you test it, or if you go to a different agency, the result won’t change. Otherwise, how could this young lady have a blood relation to this man?”

The researcher opened another report. This one belonged to Jiang Lianyu.

Hearing that she really was Jiang Yu’s daughter, Jiang Lianyu, who had been listening in, finally let out a huge sigh of relief.

When she first heard that Jiang Siyu wasn’t Jiang Yu’s child, she was at a loss. But even more, she worried about herself. If she really wasn’t related to Jiang Yu either, what would she do?

Now hearing this conclusion, Jiang Lianyu felt relieved, but soon started to worry again. Her mother had finally married Jiang Yu, and now that this had happened, how were they going to live from now on?

Jiang Yu’s face was dark as he looked at Qin Miao, who was still trying to argue. His voice was full of disappointment. “Tell me the truth, whose bastard is this?”

Qin Miao had completely collapsed. “I don’t know. How would I know whose he is? Don’t ask me anymore. After all these years together, can’t you pretend this never happened?”

Jiang Yu was furious. “How could I pretend it never happened? He’s obviously not my son.
Every time I look at him, I think about how he’s not my son. Have I really spent all these years raising someone else’s child?”

Qin Miao sobbed, “You raised Siyu all these years. Even if he isn’t your own, can your feelings be fake? Can’t you just be like before? Siyu will only be your child!”
