Everyone was waiting, hoping the bride would say her name was Tang Guo, the person they knew and had been waiting for.
But the only words that appeared above the bride’s head were, “Who are you? Are you here to take me away?”
The anticipation on Feng Yu’s face froze. His smile stiffened as he stared at that line in disbelief. His fingers flew across the keyboard. “Bride, your name is Tang Guo, right?”
“It’s full of zombies here. I’m really scared. Can you really take me away?” another line appeared above the bride’s head.
Feng Yu stared at those words, unable to believe it. His eyes turned red as he typed frantically. “Your name is Tang Guo, isn’t it? You must be Tang Guo. You have to be Tang Guo.”
“All right. If that’s the case, I’ll trust you and go with you. But we have to be careful not to let the Zombie King discover us.”
The words “My name is Tang Guo” never appeared. Everything that showed above the bride’s head was part of the original programmed dialogue he had written himself.
Those watching the livestream fell silent. This game character could not possibly be Tang Guo. Even if someone had lost their memory, they would still understand what they were being asked.
“I have three games like this. She might be in another one,” Feng Yu said quickly. He wiped the tears from his face and forced a smile. “She must be hiding in another game.”
He hurriedly launched Vampire Bride, carefully went upstairs, and entered the room where the bride lived.
Seeing the bride sitting on the chair, he controlled his character to approach and asked, “Guo Guo, I’m here to take you away. Are you willing to come with me this time?”
“Are you here to save me?”
Feng Yu’s heart sank. Refusing to give up, he continued typing. “Guo Guo, even if you don’t remember me, I still want to take you away, take you out of this online world. I’ll give your body back to you. I’m willing to spend my whole life atoning. Will you come with me?”
“Thank you, kind person. I don’t want to become a vampire. I like sunlight. I like the outside world. The Blood Emperor is very powerful. When we leave, we must not alert him.” The bride did not understand his words. She only replied with the fixed lines set in the program.
Feng Yu’s tears streamed uncontrollably. He raised his hand to wipe them away, but no matter how he wiped, they would not stop. Forcing a smile, he said, “Guo Guo has a lively personality. She must have gone to play in the third game. Wait for me. This time she’ll definitely be there.”
“She has to be there.”
He forced his eyes open and launched the final game, Ghost King’s Bride.
Watching his pain, hope, and fear all at once, the audience felt a sting in their hearts. They did not sympathize with Feng Yu, but they fell into thought. Never use selfish motives to hurt an innocent person. Never deceive someone’s feelings. One day, that person might become the most important person in your heart.
If you hurt them, there will be no future.
Do not do something you will regret. There is truly no medicine for regret in this world.
Just like Feng Yu. For the sake of one person, he hurt another innocent girl. Who could have predicted that the girl would be so good, so good that he would fall for her without realizing it? Looking at how disheveled and helpless he was now, it was clear how deeply he regretted it.
