Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 862

Fang Siyun blinked. Her mind was still processing the thought. That beautiful woman was a ghost?

She instinctively glanced at Fang Yunchi. His expression was not good, but he did not say anything. When he saw her safe, it was obvious he had let out a breath of relief.

“That spot,” Tang Guo pointed to the place where Fang Siyun had just been hanging, “I was once hung there too, exposed to wind and sun for years. The difference is, I was dead. You’re alive.”

Ning Xiangsi also finally relaxed. When she looked at Tang Guo, her eyes were filled with gratitude.

If this were not the moment, she would already be holding Fang Siyun and crying.

Once they reached the top of the cliff, Ning Xiangsi immediately broke free from Fang Yunchi and tightly hugged Fang Siyun. “Sisi, are you okay? Does anything hurt?”

“Mom, I’m fine.” Fang Siyun knew she had been wrong this time. “I’m sorry for making you worry. I won’t run away from home again.”

She only glanced at Fang Yunchi before lowering her head, unwilling to speak to him.

Those two slaps, she would never forget.

Her father had chosen ghost-hunting over his wife and child.

Just because she said a ghost was good, he had slapped her twice.

Growing up, Fang Yunchi had never once picked her up from school, never attended a parent-teacher meeting, never asked about her grades.

In her father’s eyes, there was only catching ghosts and killing ghosts.

If that was the case, what did she need such a father for?

“Sisi, from now on, Mom only needs you.” Holding her daughter whom she had nearly lost, Ning Xiangsi finally understood everything.

That relationship should end.

Her marriage to Fang Yunchi should end as well.

She took off the bead from Fang Siyun’s neck and saw a crack running across it. Her eyes reddened. “This bead saved you.”

“Mom, what is this bead?”

“Sisi, this bead was given to you by Miss Tang.” Ning Xiangsi quickly explained. “Back then, Miss Tang said I would have a daughter one day. She said this bead was for you.”

Fang Siyun hesitated before looking at Tang Guo. “Is this Miss Tang?”

“Yes.”

Ning Xiangsi nodded quickly, a faint smile on her face. “She’s the ghost from the legends.”

Fang Siyun’s eyes widened, not with fear, but with excitement. She stared at Tang Guo without blinking. If Ning Xiangsi had not been holding her, she would have already rushed over.

She had truly met the legendary female ghost.

Touching the cracked bead, she looked at Tang Guo. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. I gave it away casually back then.” Tang Guo smiled. “I didn’t expect you to be so lucky.”

Ning Xiangsi did not believe it had been casual.

She had already understood.

Whether Tang Guo could have defeated Mingxuan or not, if she had not gone to warn her back then, this bead would never have ended up with Fang Siyun.

Then today, Fang Siyun might have died. Even if she had survived, she would have suffered greatly.

It was because she had woken up in that moment years ago and made that decision that Tang Guo had been moved to give her the bead and specify that it was for Fang Siyun.

This ghost was truly formidable.

That Fang Yunchi could not defeat her was completely normal.

If she were an ordinary ghost, how could she have foreseen something that would happen more than ten years later, and concerning her daughter?

“Miss Tang, no matter what, thank you.” Ning Xiangsi and Fang Siyun bowed deeply to Tang Guo.
