Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 861

His Guo Guo was truly too lovable.

He liked her exactly like this, acting freely as she pleased, doing everything according to her own heart.

Aside from revenge, she never bothered to justify what she did.

“What a coincidence.”

Tang Guo looked at Fang Siyun hanging from the cliff face. She was suspended at the very spot where her own body had once lain. She could not help saying, “I used to live here.”

System: The host really is trying to make people laugh.

Fang Siyun was already somewhat dazed. In that moment of desperation, she had jumped.

As she felt herself falling, she had truly thought she would not survive.

In that split second, she saw a jagged rock jutting out. She was certain that the sharp stone would pierce through her body and end her life.

But she had never expected that instead of impaling her, the rock would catch her clothes.

At that moment, she noticed the bead around her neck flash briefly.

This ordinary-looking bead had been given to her by her mother.

Ever since she was young, after putting it on, her mother had repeatedly warned her never to take it off.

Not even while bathing.

Once, during hot weather, she had tried to remove it and angered Ning Xiangsi.

She had grown up with only Ning Xiangsi by her side. She could not bear to see her mother angry and promised never to remove it again.

Ning Xiangsi had told both her and her father that she had simply bought the bead because it looked nice.

But Fang Siyun had always felt that her mother’s attitude toward it was not that simple.

Now, hanging on the cliff, she finally understood. This bead was no ordinary object.

It had saved her life.

But hanging in this place, who would know she was here?

The rock had pierced through the back of her clothing. She might starve to death here. By the time someone found her, she would probably be dried into a shriveled corpse by the wind.

The weather was still hot. Under the blazing sun, she felt thirsty and exhausted. She gradually drifted into a daze.

When she regained some awareness, she heard a pleasant voice say two sentences.

“What a coincidence.”

“I used to live here.”

She opened her eyes, trying to find the speaker. She assumed she must be dreaming or hallucinating.

But she still wanted to live. She should never have believed that old woman. Otherwise none of this would have happened.

“Sisi!”

When Ning Xiangsi saw Fang Siyun hanging from the protruding rock, her hands dropped limply to her sides. Her heart nearly stopped, and tears streamed down her face. But when she saw Fang Siyun move, she cried out in joy.

Mom?

This time Fang Siyun truly thought she was dreaming. Still, she lifted her head and saw Ning Xiangsi and Fang Yunchi approaching. She was so happy she tried to call out.

As she raised her hand, there was a tearing sound.

Her clothing ripped.

Her body fell straight down.

Fang Yunchi had not expected it. Neither had Ning Xiangsi. No matter how fast he was, he could not catch her.

Ning Xiangsi screamed in panic, “No!”

Tang Guo let out a soft laugh. She waved her hand toward where Fang Siyun was falling, and Fang Siyun’s body slowly began to float upward.

She heard that soft laugh.

Looking up, she saw Tang Guo and Qin Jiu.

“So what’s the use of being a ghost-catching Daoist? Not as useful as me, a ghost.”

Tang Guo brought Fang Siyun’s body to hover beside her and added with a smile, “We really are destined.”
