Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 860

This matter was connected to Fang Yunchi. She wanted to see what he would do.

“Xiangsi, go ahead and look for Sisi. I still need to ask them something.”

Ning Xiangsi did not think too much about it. She followed Tang Guo toward the cliff.

“Miss Tang, can you go faster? What if Sisi is still alive?” Ning Xiangsi’s face was streaked with tears. “If only I hadn’t stopped you back then.”

“This is all my own karma.”

Over the years, she had worked while doing charity every month, all to help Fang Yunchi reduce his karmic burden.

Yet karma had still fallen upon her daughter. If it had to fall on someone, she wished it had fallen on her instead.

Sisi was still so young. The more she thought about it, the less she could forgive her younger self.

She also could not forgive her stubborn insistence on staying with Fang Yunchi.

If she had not been with him, would Sisi have avoided all this?

Tang Guo drifted faster and said calmly, “As long as Fang Siyun is Fang Yunchi’s daughter, if it didn’t happen here today, it would have happened somewhere else.”

Ning Xiangsi had no reply. Yes, that was the most complicated kind of karmic entanglement.

Wiping her tears, she hurried up the mountain. Soon they reached the cliff. It was the very place where the original host had once fallen.

Ning Xiangsi was not afraid of heights. She stood at the dangerous edge and looked down. “How do I go down to find Sisi?”

“I’ll take you down,” Tang Guo said. Since they were already here, she also wanted to see what had become of the place where her original body had once lain.

The system hesitated. [Host, Fang Yunchi, he…]

Tang Guo smiled faintly. “What do you want to say?”

[Fang Yunchi killed that entire family.] The system felt it was expected, yet also ironic. Fang Yunchi had always claimed ghosts harmed people and never concerned himself with people harming people. Now that the matter involved him personally, he had drawn his sword and killed with his own hands.

So what had all his years of persistence truly amounted to?

“Oh, that was to be expected.”

Tang Guo was not surprised. Many people speak of righteousness and insist everything must follow rules when it concerns others.

That is only because such horrors have not happened to them personally.

Once it happens to them, they become more extreme than anyone else.

Just as Tang Guo was about to take Ning Xiangsi down, Fang Yunchi rushed up.

“Xiangsi.”

The scent of blood still lingered heavily on him. “I’ll take you down to find Sisi.”

Ning Xiangsi did not resist when he held her. She no longer expected anything from the man beside her.

She had only one wish now: that Fang Siyun was still alive.

If Sisi was alive, she would raise her alone for the rest of her life.

As for Fang Yunchi, she was tired. She could no longer afford to love this man.

She feared that if she continued entangled with him, more terrible things would happen to her daughter in the future.

Fang Yunchi did not know her thoughts. Holding his sword, he scraped it along the cliff face as support while taking Ning Xiangsi down.

Tang Guo and Qin Jiu also leapt down together. Qin Jiu knew about the defensive bead, so he understood that Fang Siyun’s life was likely not in danger.

Seeing Tang Guo’s relaxed and unconcerned expression, he smiled and kissed her cheek.

“What are you doing?”

“I just wanted to kiss you.”

“Ah Jiu, that’s called public indecency.”

Qin Jiu chuckled softly and kissed her again.
