Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 830

When the people in the metaphysics circle heard that Fang Tianshi had died, they were all shocked.

Separated by their screens, they all began to calculate.

Out of Fang Yunchi’s sight, each of them grew solemn. From what they deduced, they understood that Fang Tianshi’s karmic retribution had arrived.

Karma was not something they were willing to meddle with, no matter how high the reward, unless it involved someone they deeply cared about.

Still, they were curious how Fang Tianshi could have suddenly died.

Fang Yunchi explained what had happened at the Tang family villa in the group chat. The group fell silent for a long time.

“I warned Fang Tianshi before not to interfere in the Tang family’s karma. Whatever the Tang family encountered would be their retribution. Look at this, now he has suffered backlash himself.”

“Yunchi, we cannot interfere in this matter.”

“That’s right. It cannot be touched. I just cast a divination for myself. If I intervene, I will not return. I may be old, but who doesn’t want to live a couple more years?”

“If it were something else, fine. But anything related to the Tang family must not be touched.”

Not a single person in the group agreed to Fang Yunchi’s request. Even though he offered a generous reward, including items some of them had once coveted.

But in the face of their own lives, nothing else mattered.

Seeing that no one would help, Fang Yunchi bid the group farewell and carried Fang Tianshi’s body back to their mountain sect for burial. He then took over Fang Tianshi’s position. In truth, their sect had only ever consisted of the two of them.

Qin Jiu also noticed the activity in the group and called Tang Guo over to watch.

Seeing the reactions, Tang Guo smiled. “There are quite a few smart people. They have some ability. They know this matter cannot be handled. Once they interfere, trouble follows.” She was very satisfied with this outcome.

“What about Fang Tianshi’s ghost?” Qin Jiu asked. He was only curious. He did not sympathize with Fang Tianshi. In fact, he rarely felt sympathy for anyone unrelated to him.

Tang Guo lazily lay across his back. The cool sensation no longer bothered him. This female ghost liked to fool around. Fine. He would indulge her. It was only twenty years. It would pass in the blink of an eye.

After thinking for a moment, Tang Guo said, “I don’t know where he went. But he is now just a wandering ghost, like any ordinary one. He cannot return home. His former cultivation is gone. And because of his identity as a ghost catching Daoist, he will have to hide everywhere out of fear.”

“He will personally experience what it means to be a wandering ghost. Even when he has done nothing wrong, ghost catching Daoists will still despise him. In the future, he will meet many other ghosts whose fates are the same as his. He will watch with his own eyes as ghosts he once knew are captured by Daoists.”

“There are good people among humans, and good ghosts among ghosts.” Tang Guo rested her hands around Qin Jiu’s neck, her voice close to his ear. “No race should be condemned as a whole. Don’t you think?”

“For example, although Daoist Qin appears indifferent and unconcerned with others’ lives, when you hunt demons, you only deal with those causing trouble in cities. You never kill spirits cultivating quietly in the mountains. Isn’t that right?”

Qin Jiu nodded. “Yes.”

“That’s why I found Daoist Qin very pleasing to the eye. From the first time I met you, I thought, this little Daoist is quite different. You successfully caught my interest.”
