“Then how do you want me to help you?” Qin Jiu felt a trace of pity in his heart. “Whatever you want to do, just tell me.”
“No need. He’ll turn himself in soon,” Tang Guo said with a smile. “Did you forget I’m a ghost? There’s a technique called clouding the mind. I used it on him. Once he goes to the police station, he’ll obediently confess everything.”
“Do you want to eat something? I’ll take you.”
Tang Guo looked at Qin Jiu with a smile. “If Daoist Qin is treating, of course I won’t refuse. I want to eat everything.”
“You’re sure you can eat those things?” Qin Jiu hesitated.
Tang Guo nodded. “I can.”
That very day, the perpetrator went to the police station to surrender. He not only confessed to running over Song Xiaoyun three years ago, but also exposed the mastermind behind it.
When that woman was taken away in handcuffs, Tang Guo was floating inside the Tang family villa. She watched the woman’s face turn pale as she was dragged out. In the end, the woman stared at Tang Father as if wanting to say something. Tang Father was holding their child in his arms. She looked at the child for a long time, said nothing, and was taken away in defeat.
Tang Guo narrowed her eyes. It seemed this matter was not so simple.
She did not leave immediately but followed Tang Father into the study.
Tang Father, who should have been grieving over his wife’s murder, was sitting leisurely in an expensive leather chair, a smile on his face as he played with the child.
“This is good too. A ruthless woman like that would only be a disaster if kept by my side.”
“I just casually said that if Xiaoyun died, I would marry her. I didn’t expect her to take it seriously and have her brother run Xiaoyun over.”
Tang Father smiled. “I never imagined she would succeed. Not only did she succeed, she even secretly became pregnant with my son.” His expression darkened slightly. “What I didn’t expect was that Xiaoyun’s ghost would come back. Fortunately, she did everything herself. It has nothing to do with me.”
“Now it’s perfect. Xiaoyun’s ghost has been destroyed, and that vicious woman is in prison. For the sake of our child, she won’t say anything reckless. Even if she does, it has nothing to do with me, Tang Lusheng.”
“The Tang Group will belong to me alone.”
By this point, Tang Guo understood everything.
Tang Lusheng came from a poor background. Later, he was admitted to a good university and met Song Xiaoyun, who came from a wealthy family. He won her over with apparent sincerity.
They married soon after graduation. Tang Lusheng became the son in law of the Song family. Because Song Xiaoyun loved him deeply and he had some ability, the Song family gave him a portion of the company shares.
But after seeing prosperity, Tang Lusheng gradually grew dissatisfied. Song Xiaoyun was jealous and had the temper of a young lady. She could not tolerate him speaking to other women.
Over time, he became more and more unhappy.
Song Xiaoyun was not merely a spoiled heiress. After her parents passed away, she was fully capable of managing the Song Group herself.
Tang Lusheng always felt overshadowed. His wife was too capable, often making him feel inferior.
