Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 814

But this man was a Taoist priest, and the pieces he chose were all new arrivals from their latest collection. The styles were excellent. It did not look like the taste of a straight man at all.

Most importantly, he was already holding so many items and still said he wanted to buy more because he could not carry them all.

The women nearby began directing their gazes at Qin Jiu, who was carefully selecting clothes. Then they glanced at their boyfriends waiting in the rest area, and their expressions fell.

“I should have found a Taoist priest as a boyfriend.”

“Exactly. His eye for clothes is even better than ours.”

“Look at our boyfriends. After visiting three or four malls, they already look like their souls have left their bodies.”

“Now look at that handsome Daoist. He chooses well and buys a lot. He’s basically the ideal boyfriend.”

Qin Jiu heard the comments and did not care.

Tang Guo could not help laughing. “Daoist, they all want to be your girlfriend.”

“I am only interested in catching demons. I have no interest in women,” Qin Jiu said seriously, methodically placing clothes into the basket.

Tang Guo floated around him with a smile. “Is that so? Then you might be unemployed soon. There are fewer and fewer demons nowadays, and not many evil ones either.”

“That’s a matter for twenty years later,” Qin Jiu replied with a faint smile. “Within these twenty years, I probably won’t be unemployed. Even if I am, it won’t be a loss.”

Tang Guo knew he was referring to the spirit bead and immortal sword and did not continue the topic. In this world, he really only cared about catching demons.

“Daoist, you’re not interested in women. Are you interested in female ghosts?”

Qin Jiu’s hand trembled as he was reaching for a piece of clothing. He looked up at the smiling female ghost. “What do you mean by that?”

Tang Guo floated in front of him. “Exactly what it sounds like. I’m a female ghost. Daoist, would you like to have a romance between a human and a ghost?”

“No. Forget it. I prefer catching demons,” Qin Jiu said quickly, shaking his head. Yet her words echoed repeatedly in his mind. What was this female ghost saying? A human ghost romance with him?

Tang Guo showed a trace of regret. “Are you not interested in me?”

“I only catch demons,” Qin Jiu replied. “Choose quickly. See if there’s anything else you like. It’s rare to come to the mall.”

“You didn’t deny being interested in me.”

“A human ghost romance never ends well,” Qin Jiu said more seriously. “Even if you cultivate as a ghost, in the future I will go to the immortal realm, and you will go to the ghost realm. Our paths are different.”

“Oh, that is indeed a pity,” Tang Guo said with a smile. “It’s true. I’ll only stay here for twenty years. If something happened between us and I left after twenty years, leaving you alone in the human world would be a bit cruel. The one left behind always suffers more.”

Tang Guo noticed Qin Jiu frowning as if deep in thought and interrupted him. “Daoist Qin, I was joking. Hurry and help me choose clothes. Later we’ll burn them at my grave.”

“All right.” Qin Jiu snapped out of it, hesitated, and asked, “You were really joking?”

“Of course I was joking. Did you take it seriously?” Tang Guo asked in surprise. “Daoist Qin, don’t tell me you’ve fallen for me. After all, I’m this beautiful. If you were captivated by my looks, it wouldn’t be strange.”

Qin Jiu nearly dropped the basket. “Just pick what you like. Stop making such jokes with me.” She had sounded so serious that he had almost believed her.

Sure enough, the more beautiful a woman was, the better she was at speaking nonsense. No, the one before him was a ghost. Wouldn’t what she said naturally be ghost talk?
