It could be said to be retribution.
But who would redress the grievance of the original owner?
“How many days until Ning Xiangsi arrives?”
[About four days.]
“Then we’ll wait.”
[Host, what are you going to do this time, stop it or not?]
“Stop it, of course I’ll stop it. Why wouldn’t I?” Tang Guo hung from the tree branch, smiling. “One of the things I dislike most is watching disgusting men force girls.”
[But she is Ning Xiangsi.]
“It’s the same no matter who she is. There are countless ways to punish her. I do not want to use this method, but giving her a small lesson first is still fine.”
The system could not understand its host. Human emotions were indeed complicated. Every time it thought it understood almost everything, after talking with her, it would feel that it was still missing something.
[Then what kind of lesson will you give her?]
“Let me think about it.”
The system could clearly sense that the host was unhappy, not because of Ning Xiangsi, but because of this inhuman mountain village.
A few days later, Tang Guo waited on the tree branch where the original owner used to drive away girls. She saw several girls approaching from afar.
This time, she did not stop them. She watched as they walked into the small mountain village.
She floated behind them and followed them inside. With Tang Guo’s soul power, even if Ning Xiangsi was somewhat special, she could not detect her presence.
Ning Xiangsi and the group of girls were warmly received by the villagers, since there were also a few boys among them.
On the second day, the villagers used the same trick, deceiving the boys into going out to play. After they left, they locked Ning Xiangsi and the other girls in the cellar.
Tang Guo watched with her own eyes as they struggled, were tied up, and had their mouths stuffed shut.
The villagers gave them neither food nor water. After the boys left, they starved the girls for several days. Only when they had no strength left did they bring them out of the cellar.
That night, the girls, weak all over, were taken to the village chief’s courtyard for everyone to choose from.
Ning Xiangsi heard the villagers discussing their prices and talking about selling them to old bachelors. She felt both anger and fear.
But they had no strength at all and were unable to escape.
In the end, each of them was taken back to a house by a bachelor from the village.
The villagers dispersed. When the moon rose, the system sensed a trace of killing intent coming from its host.
It could not be what it was thinking, could it?
A beautiful white silk sash appeared in Tang Guo’s hand. She let out a soft laugh toward the direction of the village. “I saw on television that when female ghosts kill, they use white silk, especially a beautiful female ghost like me. Of course I should use white silk.”
The system thought, I cannot believe that.
When Tang Guo heard the scream of a young girl coming from a certain house, she controlled her form and drifted in, completely undetectable.
When she entered, the girl was being pinned down by a burly man.
She flicked the white silk, looped it around the man’s neck, and pulled lightly. There was a cracking sound as his neck snapped. His eyes widened. He had never imagined that at this moment he would be killed.
The girl, who had already had one piece of clothing removed, stared blankly at the dead man.
She looked at Tang Guo floating in midair, and tears streamed down her face. She was very afraid, yet also relieved. Her feelings were complicated.
“He… he’s dead.”
“Yes, he’s dead. Do you want to leave this place?”
“Yes, of course I do. They are all demons.”
Tang Guo floated in front of her. “Then I’ll take you out.”
The girl was afraid in her heart, but compared to the beautiful female ghost floating before her, she was more afraid of the dead man. She hurried to follow closely behind Tang Guo.
