The beastman warriors accompanying Tang Guo and Yin Yao were rotated in batches every month. By now, King Xili had already occupied all the areas surrounding the barrier and even constructed towering walls outside it.
When it was not the season of the beast tide, the city gates would remain closed.
When the beast tide arrived, they would release part of the beasts, while the rest would fall into traps they had prepared in advance.
As for the beasts that returned, they would not touch them, to avoid alerting the humans on the other side. Otherwise, if the humans noticed something wrong and stopped raising beasts for the tide, it would cause trouble later.
All of this had been proposed by Tang Guo.
When the beastmen first heard these plans, their expressions were complicated. Deep down, they swore that no matter who they offended, they must never offend Ah Guoguo. She was far too vengeful.
Her way of taking revenge struck straight at the heart. The more it hurt, the happier she became stabbing deeper.
The territory of the Mata Kingdom continued to expand. With the new knowledge and tools brought from the human world, Mata Kingdom developed at an astonishing pace. Small nations and minor tribes simply could not withstand their attacks.
To take over a small tribe, it was enough to display their sharp weapons. To conquer a small nation, one day was sufficient. Wherever the Mata Kingdom went, that land became theirs.
After five years, the Mata Kingdom unified the entire beastman world, leaving only a few small tribes hiding deep within forests.
Ning Luo and her mates were concealed in a very remote place, living in isolation from the world. Because they feared that the Mata Kingdom would one day seek revenge, they had no intention of venturing out. As a result, they knew nothing of the changes outside.
They also did not know that the Mata Kingdom had already begun dividing the forests, and that the place they were hiding would sooner or later be discovered.
“Lady Ah Guoguo, the king says there should only be one last large forest left. No traces were found in the other forests. They are likely hiding in that forest. The king did not send anyone in yet, for fear of alerting them, and asked me to inform you first.”
Tang Guo had already lived in the human world for five years. She rather enjoyed life there. Yin Yao was also staying in the human world, hoping to find traces of his father.
In truth, the cities of the Mata Kingdom had already become very similar to those of the human world. With the beastmen’s immense strength, their constructions were even more perfect and sturdy than human buildings.
Now, whenever the beastmen of the Mata Kingdom heard that the beast tide was approaching, they became excited. During those days, they could eat meat every day, basin after basin, without worrying about running out.
“Tell the king to build tall walls around that forest and clearly mark it as Mata Kingdom territory. Without permission, anyone who does not belong to the Mata Kingdom is not allowed to enter.”
As she spoke, her eyes narrowed slightly, and she smiled. “I think the beastmen of the Mata Kingdom should create identification tokens unique to us, to prevent members of hidden forest tribes from sneaking in. If they are willing to join the Mata Kingdom, then issue them identification tokens. As for the people from that forest, just tell the king this. He will understand.”
After the messenger left, Tang Guo laughed happily. Yin Yao helplessly cupped her face.
“Are you really that happy?”
“Yes. My great revenge is about to be carried out.”
Tang Guo looked at Yin Yao with curved brows and smiling eyes. “Do you think I am being unreasonable?”
