“Eat first,” Tang Guo said. “Your timing is perfect. A lot was prepared today.”
After her excitement settled, Aoli swallowed and glanced at the food. Fine, food first. It looked delicious anyway.
“So good.”
“Ah, this one is really spicy, but still so good.”
Mike and Mier were not as rough as Aoli. Fox clan Beastmen always carried a bit of elegance no matter what they did. When they ate, they sat quietly to the side. Even when the food was delicious, they only narrowed their eyes slightly and savored it.
Still, just as Aoli said, it really was exceptionally good.
Tang Guo’s position in their hearts rose yet again.
Ah Guoguo really was a sage. No, she was even more impressive than a sage, perhaps even more capable than the High Priest. As the brothers ate, shock flickered in their eyes. More capable than the High Priest. Could it be that Ah Guoguo was a fallen deity?
When they entered the Mata Kingdom’s city, they had already noticed how different everything was. Many things were novel and unfamiliar. The Beastmen guiding them explained that all of it had been brought by Sage Ah Guoguo.
To the Beastmen of the Mata Kingdom, mentioning Ah Guoguo was like speaking of a god.
They called her a wise sage, but in their hearts, she had long since become a deity.
“You should stay in the Mata Kingdom from now on,” Tang Guo said with a smile. “If you want to do anything, just tell Xili directly. He is very easy to talk to.”
“We do not want to be too far from Aoli,” Mike said. In their hearts, Aoli was the most important.
Mier thought for a moment. “Then let us become merchants. The two of us have some brains, and Aoli has always liked pretty dresses and necklaces. Merchants can obtain many such things.”
In the future, whatever Aoli wanted, they would bring it to her. Seeing her satisfied smile was enough to make them happy.
“Then I will talk to Xili and have him approve the establishment of the Mata Kingdom’s first merchant caravan,” Tang Guo said casually. “From now on, you will use Mata Kingdom goods to trade with other tribes and other kingdoms.”
Her light tone left Mike and Mier stunned.
When they later met Xili and saw how he treated Tang Guo with reverence, as if she were divine, they finally understood.
It seemed Ah Guoguo truly might be an extraordinary deity.
After that, they also saw the iron tools smelted by the Mata Kingdom. They were quite crude and far inferior to what Tang Guo had given Xili. The batch of steel blades Tang Guo had provided had been sealed away by Xili as treasures. Only the strongest warriors of the Mata Kingdom were qualified to use them.
Meanwhile, the Lado Tribe had already left their original location. Life on the move was harsh.
Ning Luo was still fine. She had five men protecting her. The other tribe members were not so fortunate. Especially the females carrying cubs or already pregnant. Their bodies were too weak, and combined with constant travel and exhaustion, many fell ill.
Just as they were at a loss, Yin Yao appeared.
When Yin Yao arrived, the tribe erupted in excitement.
“The High Priest is back. We are saved.”
Yin Yao did not immediately step forward to treat the sick members. Instead, he searched the crowd for Tang Guo. When he failed to find her, he asked the tribe members.
Everyone fell silent. After all, Ah Guoguo had been handed over in Ning Luo’s place.
Still, they did not dare hide the truth from Yin Yao and explained everything in fragments.
At that moment, Yin Yao’s not particularly cold face turned ashen. When he looked at the tribe members, his gaze was filled with chill.
Aiyi spoke softly. “High Priest, no matter what, you should first treat the sick members.”
Yin Yao heard her words and laughed. He laughed with tears in his eyes.
