“Ah Ye, you two go talk.”
Tang Guo naturally understood why Xie Shijun had come. Speaking of which, he was quite unlucky to have been targeted by Chen Ying. If Chen Ying had truly liked him and wanted to live a good life together, that would be one thing. But Chen Ying was clearly not someone who could settle down or be satisfied.
Song Ye nodded. Although he usually brought his little wife along when discussing contracts with others, in front of Xie Shijun, he thought it was better not to let the man see his treasure. That feeling from the past still left him uncomfortable. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gone through all that effort to send Xie Shijun far away.
[Host, don’t you feel that your man is acting a little strange? He really doesn’t want Xie Shijun to see you.]
“I know. That’s why I’m pretending not to notice and letting him handle it however he wants.”
[Alright then. Come to think of it, this world is relatively safe, without too many troublesome things going on. Could it be because this is an unfinished novel world?]
She had traveled through quite a few novel worlds, but there weren’t many like this one, abandoned just a couple of chapters in.
That led to the Host being rather calm and relaxed, not constantly scheming how to exact revenge on her enemies or trying to give them the harshest punishment.
And then… the Host got happier, and his energy started to surge like crazy. It simply wouldn’t stop.
[Host, the Heavenly Spring has become much brighter again.]
Tang Guo became interested. “Really?”
[Yes, and I feel like there’s very strong power inside the Heavenly Spring. But I can’t seem to touch it. At first, the spring was almost pitch black. Ever since you started letting go and doing what you want, it’s gotten brighter and the power inside keeps growing.]
He said this as a vague guess. Could it be that their Host traveling through these worlds wasn’t just random, but rather she had to follow her heart in doing certain things to one day bring an end to this long journey?
Tang Guo thought the same. “Then I definitely shouldn’t wrong myself ever again.”
Upon hearing that, the system practically trembled, sensing that everyone who dared to bully Host in any future world would be seriously out of luck.
[Oh right, Host, I’ve leveled up again.]
“What was added this time?”
The system sounded a bit gloomy. [No new abilities. There’s just an added email function in my panel. I don’t know what it’s for. I don’t know any other systems, so I have no idea how it’s supposed to be used.]
“Have you received any messages?”
[No.]
Tang Guo lost interest. No wonder the system was feeling down, it really was a useless function.
[Next time I come across another system, I won’t rush to devour it. I have a bold idea.]
Tang Guo was speechless. This system was starting to sound more and more human. Still, she played along. “What idea?”
[Let the other system send me an email first. I want to see if the email function works. Once I test it, then I’ll devour them.]
To be honest, Tang Guo hadn’t expected that the system would actually have such a bold idea!
It really was a very bold idea.
She couldn’t help feeling that her system might be getting a bit devious. Not sure who it learned that from.
Xie Shijun and Song Ye talked for about an hour. When he came out, Tang Guo clearly sensed that he had a drive to work hard and fight with all his might.
She blinked and glanced at Song Ye, who followed behind him, wondering what kind of motivational speech her Ah Ye had given Xie Shijun to ignite his fighting spirit.
