Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 568

“Bai Wuqing, I’ll borrow you for a moment.”

Bai Wuqing froze for a moment when he heard Tang Guo’s words. Then, overjoyed, he quickly stepped out from the crowd, revealing his true appearance, and came to stand at her side, his gaze full of affection.

“Xiao Guo, how do you want to use me?”

Tang Guo looked at Bai Wuqing with a smiling expression. “You’re this happy to be used by someone?”

“Because that person is you, Xiao Guo.” Bai Wuqing answered without hesitation. From the moment he had figured it out, his feelings had never wavered. Even if there would never be any result, he was willing to persist.

Tang Guo let out a soft laugh. “You’re really good at talking.”

Feng Feiling had been watching the two of them the whole time. Even while she was being drowned by the lightning tribulation and her body was racked with searing pain, no sight was more unbearable to her than this scene in front of her.

“I just want to ask you a few questions.”

“Xiao Guo, go ahead and ask.”

Tang Guo glanced toward where Feng Feiling was and the corners of her lips curled slightly. This was the first time she had ever tried to anger someone to death. She didn’t have much experience, but judging by Feng Feiling’s state, it seemed she was doing fairly well.

“When did you start to have feelings for me?”

“Was it before I left the Xingyue Sect, or after?”

“Before.”

Feng Feiling spat out another mouthful of blood. Before? Impossible! Wasn’t Bai Wuqing the man who hated scheming women the most?

Tang Guo’s lips curved, and she tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. “Then I guess I really did scheme against you.”

“If I could be schemed against by you again, I’d still be willing.”

“Pfft—” Feng Feiling spat blood once more. She looked at the two of them chatting and smiling, utterly unwilling to accept it. She had plotted so much, all to make Bai Wuqing hate Tang Guo. Yet that lofty man, who always seemed detached from everything, would actually abandon his own principles and fall for a woman full of hidden motives, just because it was Tang Guo?

Then what did that make her?

“No matter what kind of person you are, Xiao Guo, I like you.”

Perhaps Bai Wuqing had realized this was his only chance to express his feelings. Even though Tang Guo had made it clear from the start that she was just borrowing him this time, he was still willing. He wasn’t afraid of being used. He was only afraid that she wouldn’t use him at all, that she would ignore him. If she could borrow him for something, at least it meant he still had some value to her.

Feng Feiling looked at Bai Wuqing’s deeply affectionate expression, and for a moment she seemed to recall her past life. Back then, he had also protected Tang Guo with that same unshakable devotion.

Then she looked around at the group of people who were about to ascend. Her mind could no longer stay steady.

She glanced at Leng Yeling, who was also being engulfed by the lightning tribulation. The corners of her mouth lifted in a smile. At least there was still someone to be buried along with her.

She clenched her teeth. If she could be reborn again, she would be much more ruthless. From the start, she wouldn’t leave anyone alive.

But just then, Leng Yeling actually stood up. He stared blankly at the lightning rod above his head.

“First get through the lightning tribulation.” It was Mo Yuntian’s voice. “Yeling, if you really want to die for Feng Feiling, as your teacher, I won’t stop you.”

Leng Yeling looked at Feng Feiling’s state, then at Mo Yuntian’s worried expression. In the end, he remained where he was, silently enduring the last of the lightning tribulation, no longer caring about Feng Feiling.

When Feng Feiling thought she and Leng Yeling were both going to be struck dead, and her consciousness was slipping away, Leng Yeling remained perfectly intact. She dissolved unwillingly into nothing, letting out a final, resentful scream.

Leng Yeling clearly heard her last words, spoken to him.

“I should have killed you with my sword in that cave.”

When the thunder tribulation finally dispersed, Leng Yeling felt a chill crawl over his neck.
