Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 544

“It was Feng Feiling who offered me benefits and had me tell Tang Guo that Elder Bai prefers cute and lively girls.”

“Feng Feiling also instructed me to give Tang Guo advice, saying that if she wanted to catch Elder Bai’s attention, she needed to appear in front of him frequently, cater to his preferences, and that over time… even if Elder Bai’s heart were made of iron, it would eventually melt.”

“Feng Feiling also had me spread rumors about Tang Guo, none of them good. But in truth, aside from her interest in Elder Bai, Tang Guo spent most of her time cultivating and barely interacted with other disciples of the sect.”

As Bai Wuqing left the Xingyue Sect, the female disciple’s words echoed in his mind. So, all of this happened because Xiao Guo had feelings for him and changed her nature to fit his preferences?

What made it even stranger was that he never liked lively and cute girls, nor did he like those who deliberately tried to get close to him.

Feng Feiling clearly knew what he disliked and intentionally led Xiao Guo into acting that way, making him resent her.

He couldn’t quite understand Feng Feiling’s motive. Was it simply to make him hate Xiao Guo? What kind of grudge did she have against her?

Regarding the theft of the sect’s treasured artifact, Xiao Guo had indeed entered the location herself. He retrieved the recorded footage and noticed something odd. Xiao Guo’s expression at the time was dazed, and her movements were unnatural, as if she were under someone’s control.

Although there was no concrete evidence, it was clear that something had temporarily taken control of Xiao Guo’s mind.

Recalling how she had her spiritual roots crippled, dragged her wounded body away, and said she would take back her feelings for him, Bai Wuqing felt a mix of regret and sorrow.

He returned to the Demon Sect, walking hurriedly, eager to see her.

Seeing her crouched in the spiritual herb garden, quietly tending to the plants, he unconsciously lightened his steps.

“Elder Bai, back so soon?”

She did not look up. Her pale, slender fingers buried the spiritual plant into the soil. Her tone carried a hint of mockery, as if ridiculing him, a righteous cultivator, for running to the Demon Sect all the time.

“Elder Bai, are you lost in thought?”

Tang Guo wiped her hands and lifted her gaze, meeting Bai Wuqing’s complicated expression. She paid it no mind, walking to the side to sit down and drink tea. “What are you thinking about?”

Tang Guo wiped her hands, raised her head, and saw Bai Wuqing looking at her with a complicated expression. She paid it no mind, walking to the side to sit down and drink tea. “What are you thinking about?”

Bai Wuqing chose to sit on the other side. He hesitated for a moment, preparing to say something, but realized that no matter what he said, it would be pointless.

“Xiao Guo.”

“Hmm?”

Bai Wuqing felt utterly powerless. Feng Feiling had someone tell Xiao Guo about his so-called “preferences,” leading to his aversion toward her. But in reality, Xiao Guo was never someone detestable.

“He used to feel somewhat impatient with her, but in truth, it was also because he didn’t want to admit how he had developed feelings for someone so calculating, so he chose to avoid it.”

“Xiao Guo, I don’t like people who are full of schemes, but if that person is you, I have no way not to like you.” Bai Wuqing finally expressed his feelings. “I wonder if there is still a chance for us to start over?”

Tang Guo smiled. “Elder Bai, do you enjoy daydreaming too? Should I fetch you a pillow?”

“Elder Bai, look at this spiritual herb garden.” Tang Guo gestured at the lush greenery. “All sorts of rare herbs can be found here. In the entire cultivation world, the Demon Sect likely has the most diverse spiritual herb garden.”

Bai Wuqing was puzzled. He didn’t understand what Tang Guo was trying to say.

“Elder Bai, take a look around this spiritual herb garden. Do you see anything called Regret Elixir?”

Meeting Tang Guo’s half-smiling gaze, Bai Wuqing’s lips moved slightly. His eyes dimmed, and a trace of bitterness appeared at the corner of his mouth. “No.”

“Then that’s it. Elder Bai, I have every kind of medicine here, except for regret.”

  1. ““Then that’s it. Elder Bai, I have every kind of medicine here, except for regret.””

Wow, what the heck, that’s such a good line!!!

    1. I used to feel sorry for him, but he has tons of other worlds to be with her. Why does he always screw up in cultivation worlds though?
