However, after Feng Feiling entered the sect, Tang Guo’s reputation gradually worsened.
She became more talkative and deliberately tried to get close to him, going out of her way to please him, though she still trained diligently.
But everyone’s impression of her changed. They saw her as scheming, manipulative, and unkind. They thought she was not a righteous person, that she was arrogant and looked down on other talented disciples.
Comparing these changes, Bai Wuqing noticed something suspicious. He carefully analyzed everything and eventually found a female disciple who had been close to Tang Guo and often sought her out.
When the female disciple was suddenly summoned by Bai Wuqing, she was terrified.
She trembled as she approached Bai Wuqing, her body shaking. She kept her head lowered, not daring to look at him, and cupped her hands in salute. “Disciple greets Elder Bai. I do not know why Elder Bai has summoned me?”
She was afraid, afraid that some of the things she had done before had been exposed.
Now that Tang Guo had disappeared, there should have been nothing to fear, but she was still afraid that Bai Wuqing had suddenly realized something was wrong.
“The reason I called you here should be clear to you. I was able to find you so precisely. Do you really think you could hide what you’ve done from me?”
