The three of brought Bai Wuqing out as a topic and discussed him again before they felt satisfied.
The other members in the group silently followed along, particularly envious of the three who had met the school flower in person.
[Emmanuel]: “I hope that in my lifetime, the school flower will visit our interstellar world at least once. I really want to meet her in person.”
[General Billy]: “Let me make a wish too. School flower, come meet us just once. Aside from the fact that our food isn’t great, our interstellar world is actually quite amazing. We have all kinds of advanced technology that you won’t find anywhere else.”
[Margaret]: “I also want the school flower to visit our magical world. I would show her the most dazzling magic and the most mysterious curses in our world.”
[Harold]: “I hope the school flower can witness the moment I condense my godhead. That would be the greatest gift for me.”
[Alan]: “Skinny Harold is daydreaming again. Should I throw a pillow to you?”
[Harold]: “The most detestable person in the magical world is Alan. There’s no one else who even comes close. I just hope that when the school flower visits, she ignores that awful guy. He’s tall, big, and ugly, like a ferocious beast, just barely stopping short of drooling disgusting saliva.”
[Alan]: “That’s still better than some scrawny chicken that could be lifted with one finger. A guy as small as an ant with a nasty mouth. I could crush him with a single fist.”
[Yinhuan Sanren]: “As much as I’d love to meet the school flower, considering the environment we live in, it’s probably best if she doesn’t come. But we sure would like to leave.”
[Misty Fairy]: “Yeah, I’d love to see the school flower too, but where we live really isn’t a place fit for her to visit. Just thinking about it is enough.”
Tang Guo had been paying attention to the conversation in the group. Yinhuan Sanren and Misty Fairy rarely made an appearance, which seemed to have something to do with their living environment.
This time, her curiosity was piqued, and she couldn’t help but ask, “What kind of environment do you live in? Is it dangerous?”
“It’s not really dangerous, just that there’s no way to leave. With Yinhuan and my abilities, self-preservation isn’t an issue, and life is still quite fulfilling. It’s not what you’d call a perilous place, but being stuck here for so long inevitably wears a person down. We’ve guessed that if we ever want to leave, we’d probably have to undergo tribulation and ascend,” Misty Fairy explained.
[Yinhuan Sanren]: “We’ve been here for a long time, watching many newcomers arrive. At first, they are full of excitement, but over time, they fall into despair. In the end, they either grow old and die here or resign themselves to fate and settle down in one of the planes to survive.”
Huh?
Hearing this, Tang Guo grew even more curious. “What kind of world do you live in? It sounds pretty interesting.”
“School Flower, I’d advise you not to be too curious,” Misty Fairy replied. “But since you’re so interested, I’ll tell you what kind of world this is. After all, there are plenty of things in life you can’t predict. Have you ever heard of a Rubik’s Cube?”
“I have.”
Misty Fairy continued, “This is a Rubik’s Cube world, a space composed of six small planes that shift once a month. Unless you resign yourself to fate and settle in one plane, you’ll be forcibly transported to the next one. Otherwise, you’re stuck in an endless cycle, rotating through all six planes to survive. Every transition is extremely dangerous. Most ordinary people who end up in the Rubik’s Cube world choose to stay in one plane, but doing so means they’ll never be able to leave.”
And those who refuse to stay are the ones still trying to find a way out.
