“Luo Chen, jump in,” Tang Guo said, her voice carrying a mysterious tone. “I have calculated that there is an opportunity in there that belongs to you.”
Luo Chen was stunned. Shouldn’t everyone be fighting over this opportunity?
A Demon Sect disciple, unable to stand his hesitation, kicked him straight into the golden vortex. Dawdling like this, was he even a man?
Mo Yuntian: “……” These disciples were a bit too rough.
Tang Guo turned and walked into the forest. Bai Wuqing quickly followed behind her, watching as she searched for something. “Xiao Guo, what are you looking for?”
“A pheasant.”
“Are you hungry?”
“No.”
Bai Wuqing had no idea what Tang Guo was thinking. Since she was looking for a pheasant, he extended his spiritual sense to search the area as well. In the end, he didn’t find a pheasant, but he did spot a pigeon flying by. Leaping into the air, he reached out and caught it.
The pigeon flapped frantically in his hands, clearly frightened. It was hard to imagine such a cold and aloof man holding a struggling pigeon.
“Will a pigeon work?” He remained expressionless as he handed it to Tang Guo.
Tang Guo glanced at the pigeon. “It’ll do. It’s smaller than a pheasant, but similar enough.”
She took the pigeon and returned to the riverbank. After about an hour, Luo Chen emerged halfway from the vortex. Just as he was about to climb out, he heard Tang Guo speak.
“Luo Chen, wait a moment.”
Luo Chen hesitated for a moment, then saw Tang Guo leap in front of him and hand him a pigeon. “Put this pigeon over there.”
Where?
Luo Chen quickly realized, could it be that the Holy Maiden Aunt knew he had contracted the phoenix? Thinking back to her words about this being his destined opportinuty, he had indeed moved through the space unimpeded and obtained many things.
He responded, “Alright,” took the pigeon, and placed it in the phoenix’s original nest. When he returned to the riverbank and saw Tang Guo, he lowered his voice and said, “Holy Maiden Aunt, I let the phoenix pass a breath of its energy into the pigeon. It now carries the phoenix’s aura. I’m not sure if that was the right thing to do.”
Tang Guo nearly burst into applause. Brilliant! Luo Chen’s comprehension was truly remarkable.
“Well done.”
Luo Chen smiled. He had a feeling he understood something. Could it be that someone else would be coming here?
“This golden vortex will disappear in a day.”
If he hadn’t taken the healing pill earlier, he would have been stuck in there for most of the day.
“That’s enough. Let’s go.”
Tang Guo had no intention of meeting Feng Feiling just yet. If she stayed any longer, Feng Feiling would arrive, and the surprise she had prepared wouldn’t be as interesting.
Mo Yuntian and the others didn’t understand why Tang Guo always took something and left immediately, but they didn’t ask questions. Without hesitation, they turned and followed her.
When Luo Chen returned to the Demon Sect, he was shocked by what he saw. Everyone in the sect cultivated spiritual plants.
Without hesitation, he took out some of the rare herbs he had obtained and handed them to Mo Yuntian.
Mo Yuntian patted Luo Chen on the shoulder. “Kid, you have the right mindset. Don’t worry, these spiritual herbs will only become more abundant. It’s a good thing my sister chose you. Otherwise, you might not have survived.”
These words made Luo Chen’s heart tighten. Tang Guo’s actions suggested that someone else would be going to that place. If it happened at the wrong time, someone might try to kill him. Wouldn’t that mean he’d be dead for sure?
“Sect Master, can the Holy Maiden Aunt really calculate fate?”
“You don’t need to ask about that. Just remember, when you’re in the Demon Sect, listening to her is never wrong.” Mo Yuntian couldn’t explain it clearly himself, nor did he want to. His sister’s secrets were something everyone in the sect simply understood.
“Got it.”
