Hearing Mo Yuntian’s words, Leng Yeling instinctively followed his master’s suggestion and searched the hall for the person in question. His gaze quickly landed on Tang Guo, dressed in white, her face all too familiar.
“What are you doing here?”
At this moment, Leng Yeling had not yet realized that this person was the Holy Maiden Aunt, the very one he would have to address as ‘Aunt’ from now on.
Tang Guo smiled, but before she could speak, Mo Yuntian glared at him and barked, “You insolent brat! What do you mean by ‘you’? That’s your aunt, my sworn sister and the Holy Maiden Aunt of our Demon Sect! Hurry up and call her ‘Aunt’!”
Leng Yeling: No, how is that possible? How could Tang Guo have become his aunt? From now on, he would have to call her ‘Aunt’ whenever he saw her? This must be a dream.
“Master, you must be joking with your disciple, right?” Leng Yeling said incredulously, his cold face full of frosty anger. “Master, do you even know who she is? She’s the one who harmed Ling’er. I personally crippled her spiritual root, and she was expelled from Xingyue Sect by Sect Master Wen. Her intentions are impure, she must have some ulterior motive for coming to our Demon Sect.”
Mo Yuntian: He had initially wanted to salvage his foolish disciple, but at this point, he was ready to give up.
It would have been better not to bring this up. Mentioning it would only remind the grudge-holding School Flower of this matter, wouldn’t it?
“I know all about it,” Mo Yuntian said coldly. “Yeling, no matter what, she is my sworn sister and the Holy Maiden Aunt of the Demon Sect. As for you saying that she harmed the woman you like, that’s none of my business. But I believe my sister is not that kind of person.”
What a joke! If my sister really wanted to harm someone, she wouldn’t have failed and ended up getting her spiritual roots crippled and expelled from her sect! What nonsense is that?
“Master, I will never call her that,” Leng Yeling said angrily. “She doesn’t deserve it.”
For him, addressing Tang Guo as ‘Aunt’ was more painful than death.
“But she is my sworn sister, which means she is your aunt. That’s just how it is,” Mo Yuntian said, exasperated. Glancing at Bai Wuqing, who was sitting silently and drinking tea, he suddenly had an idea. “Elder Bai, what do you think? Shouldn’t Yeling call my sister his aunt?”
Bai Wuqing hadn’t expected to be dragged into this, but he naturally wouldn’t pass up the opportunity. He answered seriously, “He should.”
This time, the look he gave Leng Yeling turned much colder.
It was at this moment that Leng Yeling realized Bai Wuqing was actually here.
“What are you doing here?” Leng Yeling completely lost his composure, his gaze icy as he stared at Bai Wuqing. “Elder Bai, you’re a righteous cultivator of Xingyue Sect. Isn’t it inappropriate for you to be at our Demon Sect?”
“What’s that supposed to mean? Doesn’t the Young Sect Master frequently visit my Xingyue Sect and get entangled with Feng Feiling, one of our disciples? I’m merely following the Young Sect Master’s example of being unconcerned about the divide between righteous and demonic factions.”
Mo Yuntian nearly burst out laughing. Watching his disciple choke on his words was oddly satisfying. This brat—had I spoiled him so much that I didn’t realize when he went astray?
“You…” Leng Yeling was utterly speechless. He had been full of anticipation about meeting the Holy Maiden Aunt, only to find out she was Tang Guo.
This was truly ridiculous.
What was even more ridiculous was that Bai Wuqing was here too, and he seemed to be siding with Tang Guo.
“Big Brother Mo, it seems your disciple doesn’t really want to call me that.” Tang Guo spoke at the right moment with a smile. “It’s fine. Whether he acknowledges it or not, I am still his aunt. This is something everyone in the Demon Sect knows, and soon, the entire cultivation world will know that I am his aunt.”
Leng Yeling’s entire mind was filled with the words “his aunt,” making his head throb with pain.
No, impossible. She was not his aunt.
“Don’t even think about it!” Leng Yeling said viciously.
Tang Guo’s lips curved slightly upward. “The facts leave no room for your denial.”
Bai Wuqing, whose expression was usually calm and indifferent, suddenly revealed a faint smile. “Young Sect Master, you really should call her ‘Aunt.’”
“Get lost!” Leng Yeling said angrily. “Bai Wuqing, you’d better go back to your Xingyue Sect and stop meddling in my Demon Sect’s affairs!”
