“This large patch of spiritual herbs was all dug up, leaving this place bare. It doesn’t look good,” Tang Guo said, as if it were the most natural thing. “I’ll just scatter some wild grass seeds here and speed up their growth a bit. It’ll turn green and look much less abrupt.”
Mo Yuntian: “…”
Bai Wuqing: “…” He had never noticed this side of Tang Guo before. Her eyes sparkled with mischief, yet she managed to explain her reasoning in such an elegant and refined way.
He suddenly realized that her chatter, her clever schemes, and her slightly mischievous nature weren’t necessarily bad things. In fact, they made her all the more captivating.
It seemed like he never really understood her before. He hadn’t expected her to be such a lively person.
Once the spiritual herbs were all dug up, Tang Guo instructed all the disciples of the Demon Sect to scatter the wild grass seeds into the soil.
“Now, I’ll teach you how to cultivate seeds.”
Mo Yuntian’s eyes lit up. Of course! He had known all along that the School Flower wasn’t one to do pointless things.
The Demon Sect’s location was indeed barren. If they could cultivate some spiritual plants, it might even transform the environment, turning it into a sacred ground for cultivation.
The Demon Sect disciples, clever as they were, perked up their ears at the mention of learning how to cultivate spiritual plants from their Holy Maiden Aunt.
They began their experiment using the wild grass seeds. After two days, the area where the spiritual herbs had been harvested was covered with uneven patches of grass.
Some were short, some lush, but they all shared one common feature: a vibrant green color that looked particularly appealing from afar.
Tang Guo complimented them, “Not bad. Let’s head back to the Demon Sect, transplant the spiritual herbs properly, and then we’ll head out again.”
The disciples were eager and itching to try more. They felt that following the Holy Maiden Aunt promised a brighter future than following the Sect Master.
Mo Yuntian had already grown accustomed to this dynamic. He felt a bit excited himself and didn’t dwell on the deeper meaning of Tang Guo’s actions. Waving his hand, he led the disciples back to the Demon Sect.
Naturally, Bai Wuqing continued following them.
When they arrived at the Demon Sect’s location, he didn’t follow them inside. Instead, he picked a clean stone to sit on, looking particularly self-disciplined.
Mo Yuntian’s eyelid twitched. Was this guy planning to sit there forever?
Seeing that Tang Guo didn’t mind, he considered how Bai Wuqing was so aloof and cold before asking, “Elder Bai, why don’t you come inside and have a seat?”
“Can I?” Bai Wuqing asked Mo Yuntian, but his gaze was fixed on Tang Guo’s back.
Mo Yuntian hesitated and said, “When I said that, she didn’t object, so she probably doesn’t mind.”
Bai Wuqing actually wanted to go inside. The more he got to know her, the less he wanted to leave. He nodded and accepted Mo Yuntian’s invitation
Later, Mo Yuntian went to the spiritual plant garden and mentioned the matter, and Tang Guo indeed had no reaction. Bai Wuqing was genuinely quiet, wherever he stayed made no difference, as long as he didn’t bother her.
Hearing about the experiences of those who went outside, the disciples who had stayed behind deeply regretted their decision. If they had known, they would’ve eagerly signed up to go with the Holy Maiden Aunt and broaden their horizons.
When Tang Guo taught them how to transplant and cultivate spiritual plants, all the interested Demon Sect disciples came to learn.
Bai Wuqing, wanting to learn more about her, stood among the crowd, silently watching.
In the midst of the excited disciples, his spotless white robe made him stand out. Seeing the way he gazed at Tang Guo, the disciples assumed he was an admirer of their Holy Maiden Aunt and didn’t pay it much attention.
This time, they spent ten days discussing together.
By the end, the spiritual herbs they brought back, excluding those that were damaged in the process, were successfully transplanted. More than half of the successful transplants were done by the disciples themselves, giving them a strong sense of accomplishment.
At this moment, Tang Guo’s status in their hearts rose yet another level.
