Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 516

“Sister, are you sure there’s something here?”

This time, Mo Yuntian selected fifty disciples and brought along two Tribulation Stage experts to prevent any unforeseen issues.

Before them lay an endless stretch of mountains. Tang Guo had previously told them that unimaginable resources could be found here.

But this place had sparse spiritual energy, even more barren than Mo Yuntian’s territory. Could there really be resources here?

“Wait and see.”

Tang Guo was dressed in a spotless white gauzy dress and wore a white veiled hat that could block divine senses.

Mo Yuntian also thought it was better for her to stay concealed for now. After all, if she was seen being involved with the Demon Sect, the righteous factions would definitely hunt her down.

Tang Guo, however, had different thoughts. She stood at the foot of the mountain and pointed to a spot. “Take your people and dig there. Work quickly. You must retrieve everything from here within three days.”

Mo Yuntian immediately stopped wasting words, drew his sword, and got to work with his disciples.

What left Tang Guo speechless was that she saw Mo Yuntian post a message in the group chat at the same time: The School Flower brought us to grab resources.

He even attached a photo.

The group chat instantly became lively. Ziyun Zhenren and Chixiao Zhenjun scolded Mo Yuntian for being shameless, while the others expressed their envy.

While the digging was underway, Mo Yuntian couldn’t help but glance back at the distant figure of a cold and detached man who had been following them. The man was still standing far away, silently observing.

That guy was still following them. Did he have no intention of returning?

Mo Yuntian scratched his chin but didn’t bother with it. Since the School Flower said to ignore him, he wasn’t worried.

Tang Guo, on the other hand, pulled out a chair and sat outside. Bai Wuqing, at some point, had approached her.

“They’re calling you Holy Maiden Aunt?” Bai Wuqing asked, surprise evident in his eyes. It had only been a day since he last saw her. What had happened to the Demon Sect?

Tang Guo replied calmly, without any sarcasm, “Yes, I am the Holy Maiden Aunt of the Demon Sect, Mo Yuntian’s sworn sister.”

Bai Wuqing felt a tightening in his chest as he listened to her calm response. “You’ve joined the Demon Sect?”

“Yes.”

“You don’t have to do this, Xiao Guo. I can help you.” Over the past two days, he had to admit that he regretted it. He regretted that, out of selfishness, he thought that by not helping her, she wouldn’t cling to him in the future, and he’d have his peace and quiet.

But when she truly left, his mind was flooded with memories of their time together.

Having a chatty little girl around wasn’t actually that annoying.

“No need, as you can see, I’m doing fine. Mo Yuntian, this big brother, isn’t bad either.”

Of course, he knew that.

“Why are you so idle?” Tang Guo lifted the veil of her hat and smiled at him. “A dignified elder of the Xingyue Sect, spending your days following me here isn’t very good. Doesn’t the Xingyue Sect have work for you to do?”

The calmer Tang Guo spoke, the more unsettled Bai Wuqing felt.

He tried searching her eyes for the unhidden admiration they once held, but it was gone.

Bai Wuqing was momentarily dazed. Could it be that when she said she would take back her feelings, she truly did?

“What are you looking at?” Tang Guo asked.

Bai Wuqing clenched his fist and gently shook his head. “Nothing.” He was searching for something that seemed to no longer exist.

She lowered the veil on her hat, covering her face. She stopped talking, and so did he. Yet, he didn’t leave. He didn’t know why, but he felt he should stay here.

At the same time, at the Xingyue Sect, Feng Feiling was leading a group of Xingyue Sect disciples on a grand expedition.

“Ling’er, there’s no need to be so anxious, is there?” Leng Yeling said.

Feng Feiling was adamant. “No, I have a feeling there’s something good in that place. We must get there quickly.”
