“Bai Wuqing, I’m leaving.”
Tang Guo distanced herself from Bai Wuqing, smiled faintly, turned around, and with heavy steps, staggered away under everyone’s gaze.
That bloodstained figure left an oppressive feeling in the air.
For a fleeting moment, Bai Wuqing felt the urge to reach out and stop her. Xiao Guo admired him, he had realized this years ago. Since joining the sect, Xiao Guo’s reputation had never been good, with people often saying she was too ambitious.
Cultivation requires effort, but he didn’t want this kind of Dao companion.
Xiao Guo was lively, calculating, ruthless in her actions, talkative, and especially noisy. He preferred quiet. Moreover, he didn’t appreciate the orchestrated coincidences she engineered to approach him. Deep down, he harbored a bit of disgust towards this disciple, which is why he didn’t intervene earlier.
Watching her disappear into the misty distance, Bai Wuqing suddenly felt an emptiness in his heart, an unbearable discomfort.
Wasn’t he supposed to be disgusted with Xiao Guo?
Why, at the moment she disappeared, did he feel an overwhelming sense of discomfort, and why did the images that surfaced in his mind turn out to be scenes of their time together?
Bai Wuqing’s cold and aloof face frowned deeply as he stood frozen in place.
Feng Feiling noticed this, a faint smile appearing on her lips as she walked away arm-in-arm with Leng Yeling. Bai Wuqing, oh Bai Wuqing, seeing someone you care for get crippled. It must be unbearable, right?
No rush. She would take everything step by step.
She glanced at the man beside her, who was looking at her with adoration, and sneered inwardly. She truly wasn’t in a hurry, no one would escape. Those who had wronged her in the past would all get the punishment they deserved.
Tang Guo was just the beginning.
After leaving the mountain, Tang Guo didn’t head into the city but instead found a secluded cave and began to accept this world’s plot.
This was a cultivation world, where the male lead was Leng Yeling and the female lead was Feng Feiling. Feng Feiling had been reborn, carrying boundless resentment and hatred. She was the type of female protagonist who fought against everything and everyone, remaining entirely rational.
Feng Feiling had met a bad end in her previous life. From the moment she entered the sect, she admired Bai Wuqing and used countless methods to get close to him. However, Bai Wuqing despised anyone who played manipulative games with him.
Feng Feiling’s actions annoyed him endlessly, and he publicly reprimanded her, causing her to lose all face.
Later, Bai Wuqing ended up forming a Dao partnership with his direct disciple, which made Feng Feiling even more unwilling to let go.
Meanwhile, Leng Yeling, the disciple of the Demon Sect’s master, was also deeply enamored with Tang Guo. Two equally outstanding men both liked Tang Guo, yet the way they looked at her was as if they were looking at a fly, which made her feel deeply humiliated.
Later, during an expedition to a secret realm, she couldn’t hold back and used a vicious method from the cultivation world, intending to cripple Tang Guo.
Unexpectedly, Leng Yeling discovered her actions and, in front of everyone, exposed her viciousness and personally crippled her spiritual roots.
She was expelled from the sect and, not long after, was tortured to death by a group of evil people. When she woke up, she had been reborn, back to the time when she had just entered the sect.
In her second life, she had no intention of rekindling her past ties with Bai Wuqing. Her only goal was to take revenge on everyone.
She first caught the attention of the Xingyue Sect’s leader, Wen Ziqiu, and made him accept her as a disciple, giving her an unattainable status.
Knowing that Bai Wuqing hated being manipulated, she arranged for someone to “accidentally” pass on various methods of getting close to Bai Wuqing to Tang Guo when she first started developing feelings for him, successfully causing Bai Wuqing to hate Tang Guo.
She also spread rumors about Tang Guo, turning even the smallest matters into something that could be interpreted as having ulterior motives.
