Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 500

The “Movement to Kill the Imperial Concubine” ended with Tang Feng’s sudden appearance, leaving the Xuanyuan royal family utterly humiliated. Many scholars left with flushed faces, feeling as though their cheeks were burning under everyone’s gaze.

The peddlers left laughing, astonished that such an absurd affair could exist within the royal family.

The powerful officials sighed as they departed. While the wrongdoing clearly lay with the Xuanyuan royal family, they weren’t willing to let the Imperial Concubine off so easily. However, the current Imperial Concubine was now the princess of the Tang Dynasty, and with Emperor Tang threatening to attack the Tianqin Kingdom at the slightest provocation, what could they do?

At present, more than a dozen cannons were stationed outside the imperial city. If they angered Emperor Tang, he could easily turn those cannons on them and blast them into oblivion.

The women from the flower house lingered for a long time, reluctant to leave as they gazed at the woman on the wall. Remembering her confidence and her smile, they realized they shouldn’t have come today.

In all their years, she was the first woman they’d seen who dared to openly confront everyone and win.

Some people sighed, saying the Imperial Concubine truly had a great father. With just a word from Emperor Tang, the entire Tianqin Kingdom wouldn’t dare harm her. Instead, they’d have to cater to her every whim, ensuring her happiness.

Concubines like Concubine Yin Shu and Concubine Meng De also left, still reeling from the shock.

What an imperial concubine, what an Emperor of the Tang Dynasty. This truly opened their eyes, and they felt deeply satisfied in their hearts.

An Ningxiang listened to the rumors spreading outside as the palace servants recounted every word without missing a beat. When they finished, she sat there in a daze, lost in thought.

“Chunxue, do you think someone like her can be confined to this harem? Why does she insist on staying in this tiny world? Isn’t the outside better?”

Chunxue shook her head. She didn’t understand. She didn’t understand the Imperial Concubine. Clearly, she could leave and live freely as the little princess of the Tang Dynasty. Why did she choose to stay here?

“Her,” An Ningxiang said with a faint smile as she lowered her head. “She truly doesn’t care about the opinions of the world, and she’s someone who holds grudges. She stays here, enjoying herself while making Xuanyuan Mo feel utterly uncomfortable, forcing him to live in perpetual pain, and keeping everyone in the Tianqin Kingdom living under her shadow. This woman is both tender and ruthless. Looking through the history of palace concubines, only a daughter of the Tang family could be so cunning and resourceful.”

“Think about it, who else has a father like the Emperor Tang? Just to vent their anger, this father and daughter actually built a whole kingdom.” An Ningxiang laughed until tears came to her eyes. “I truly admire them. I just wonder how much pain Xuanyuan Mo must be feeling in his heart.”

“I heard those cannons can blast through the city walls with a single shot, but they didn’t use them to attack the Tianqin Kingdom. Instead, they surrounded it, just so the Imperial Concubine could live comfortably in the harem. What am I even supposed to say to that?”

“I’m a little envious. The Imperial Concubine has a truly good father.”

The entire An family was exiled to a desolate and bitter land, never to rise again.

An Ningxiang, caressing her belly, half-closed her eyes and smiled. “My child, from now on, it will just be you and me.”

“I can’t be like the Imperial Concubine, nor do I have her courage. What I must do is protect you and watch you grow. Even if your father never glances your way, your mother will give you all the love in the world.”

From that day onward, Tang Guo continued to be addressed as the Imperial Concubine but no longer lived in her original palace.

Tang Feng, in his brazen manner, brought people into the palace and chose a prime location to build a new residence for her, a grand Royal Concubine’s Pavilion. The courtiers were furious, but what could they do?

If Tang Feng wished, he could conquer the entire Tianqin Kingdom. The resulting chaos would plunge the people into despair, and the entire nation would suffer.

Fortunately, Tang Feng limited himself to building the pavilion and didn’t interfere in other matters.

  1. Thanks you for the updates. I like how the original female lead isn’t necessarily “evil.” She admits she lost and never targeted Tang Guo directly.
