“Your Emperor has arrived.”
When Xuanyuan Mo arrived, Tang Guo noticed and said, “Let him come up here and say a few words to you. Aren’t you demanding that he execute me?”
“Now you can kneel down, draw your swords, slit your throats, and let your blood stain the palace gates to coerce him into killing me.”
Xuanyuan Mo dragged his heavy steps to stand beside Tang Guo. At that moment, Xuanyuan Mie, who had been standing behind, also came to Tang Guo’s side and possessively wrapped an arm around her waist.
The sight of two men with identical appearances left the people below utterly shocked.

Why does that man look exactly like the Emperor??
Xuanyuan Mo was dressed in a dragon robe, while the other man wore black clothing. Though the color was plain, the style was far from simple. Despite their identical appearances, their expressions were worlds apart.

Hearing this, Tang Guo laughed. “What shameless old fools. You won’t be satisfied until you drive her to death?”

“But if you want to kill me, just come on up here and do it. Or slit your throats right here on the spot. Go ahead, give it a try. If you really dare to cut your own necks, I’ll even applaud and help take care of your families. How about that?”
Seeing one of the old officials’ red-faced and flustered expressions, Tang Guo looked very pleased.
“Your Majesty, would you like to make it clear to them whether are you going to execute me, or let me go?”
Xuanyuan Mo felt bitterness in his mouth as he glanced down at the people below, their eyes filled with anticipation. After a moment of silence, he said, “I will not execute the imperial concubine. If you want to slit your throats, then do so. If you want to bash your heads against the palace gates, go ahead.”
“Your Majesty, you can’t! The imperial concubine absolutely cannot stay. How much of that ‘bewitching soup’ has she fed you? If this continues, the Tianqin Kingdom will be in grave danger!”
Tang Guo laughed inwardly, Isn’t the Tianqin Kingdom already in danger? They’ll figure that out soon enough.
“Your Emperor doesn’t dare to kill me, and the reason is, he wronged me.”
Xuanyuan Mo clenched his fists tightly but did not speak to stop her. It was true, he had wronged her and today was her revenge. Even if it meant going against the world, even if it cost her life and caused an uproar known throughout the nation, she would take her revenge.
It was clear that she truly hated him.
Well, it was better that she hated him than felt nothing for him at all.
“He is Xuanyuan Mie,” Tang Guo introduced to everyone, gesturing toward Xuanyuan Mie. “He is the only man I’ve ever had.”
“Do you think this sounds strange? Shouldn’t my man be the Emperor?” Tang Guo laughed. “To say it out loud, I’m not afraid of being ridiculed, because it really is a joke.”
