Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 471

Not long after, Xuanyuan Mo sent Tang Guo a chest full of gold.

When she opened the chest, the glittering gold inside made her beam with delight. She grabbed a few pieces and casually tossed them to Mei Qing and Mei Lan. “Go and get yourselves something nice.”

The two maids didn’t hold back, happily pocketing the gold.

They understood that the chest of gold would soon be sent away.

Mei Lan and Mei Qing both shuddered in unison. Their mistress was truly formidable—using Xuanyuan Mo’s money to build her own empire.

Tang Guo took out a map and began studying it silently. Seeing this, the two maids quickly stepped outside to stand guard.

Xuanyuan Mie sneaked in quietly and sat down beside her, resting his chin on her shoulder with a natural intimacy. Glancing at the map, he asked, “What’s this?”

“My father’s hard-earned territory,” Tang Guo replied.

Xuanyuan Mie chuckled. “I heard just now that my stupid younger brother sent you a chest full of gold?”

“That’s right,” Tang Guo said, the chest sitting nearby. She stretched out her leg and kicked the lid open, revealing the dazzling, glittering gold inside. “Want to pick out a couple to play with?”

“I have no interest in gold,” Xuanyuan Mie said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. “I’m only interested in you, Guo’er. Do you need me to deliver it for you?”

“Who else but you?”

Xuanyuan Mie’s heart swelled with joy. He quickly planted a kiss on her cheek before glancing at the map. The map was expansive, filled with various markings, and as he studied it, his expression grew increasingly peculiar.

“Guo’er, are you and your father really just claiming a small territory?”

“Yes, isn’t it just a tiny piece of land? Don’t you know, the surface of this world is probably round? The area shown on this map is just a small part of it, so of course, it’s only a tiny piece of land.”

Even though Xuanyuan Mie always maintained an air of calm indifference, the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but twitch. Tightening his hold around her waist, he said, “Guo’er, could you ask Father-in-law to slow down his territorial expansion? At this rate, I won’t be worthy of you.”

“As long as I find you worthy, that’s all that matters.”

“In that case, I’m relieved. As long as Guo’er doesn’t find me lacking, that’s all that matters.” Xuanyuan Mie smiled triumphantly and kissed her cheek. “That’s exactly the words I’ve been waiting for.”

Tang Guo chuckled softly. “How could I possibly dislike you? There’s probably no one in this world more lovable than you.” Nor anyone more perceptive, intelligent, and perfectly aligned with her desires, someone who never caused her any trouble or annoyance.

Xuanyuan Mie was indifferent to external possessions, it was simply because he had no interest in them.

This man was intelligent and powerful, far surpassing Xuanyuan Mo in every way. If he had truly set his mind to it, Tianqin Kingdom would have long since fallen into his hands. How could someone like Xuanyuan Mo possibly be his match?

No wonder he was the only person who could consistently capture her interest.

She pointed to some desolate areas on the map. “My father doesn’t want me to be bullied or suppressed by Xuanyuan Mo, so he seized a piece of land. But deep down, he’s still hurt by what happened.”

“For my father to become a savior figure, to have a goal and countless people to protect, that brings him comfort. He was once a celebrated general with great achievements, yet Xuanyuan Mo tried to frame him for treason. My father might not say it out loud, but his heart has grown cold.”

“One day, if he’s loved and respected by countless people, those past injustices won’t matter anymore. My father has always been a man of justice and compassion.”

“He wants to protect me, so I want to ensure he can protect me with pride. I want to give him the support of a people who stand behind him, unwavering in their loyalty.”

Xuanyuan Mie fixed his gaze on the radiant young woman before him, captivated by her spirited demeanor. Unable to resist, he buried his face in the curve of her neck, taking a deep breath. “Countless people will thank you for this decision, Guo’er.”
