The entire banquet went very smoothly.
Aside from Yan Nian’s small incident in the middle, which was somewhat unexpected. Fortunately, Her Majesty the Queen didn’t mind and later appreciated the business talents of the merchant, publicly approving his residence in the Sunset Empire.
During this time, she did not mention Yan Nian, nor did she instruct the merchant to do anything to Yan Nian.
It was as if, in her eyes, Yan Nian was just an insignificant figure.
This made people marvel at Her Majesty the Queen’s magnanimity.
System: Haha!
Qin Jiaren: Hahaha!
Shao Qing: Hahaha, really funny, does Her Majesty the Queen have magnanimity??
After the banquet ended, Shi Cheng held his beloved Queen’s hand and left. As they were leaving, he glanced at the distraught Yan Nian, his lips curling slightly as he whispered in Tang Guo’s ear, “My Majesty is still so vengeful.”
“Naturally.”
Tang Guo smiled and replied, “If I weren’t vengeful, I wouldn’t be me. I’m a person who holds grudges, and whoever offends me, I’ll always find a way to get back at them.”
She wouldn’t personally do anything to Yan Nian. With Yan Nian’s character, she would end up ruining herself. If Yan Nian were a bit smarter, she wouldn’t have fallen into the trap and wouldn’t have spoken up even if she saw her today.
But Yan Nian called out to her, making her, a person of immense curiosity, the center of attention. But people dared not pry into her past.
So, they would turn their attention to Yan Nian, and all the things Yan Nian had done would soon be revealed.
Her backer, that merchant, would also cut ties with Yan Nian immediately for the sake of his future.
Su Ao might not have much resentment towards Yan Nian, but Meng Zheng did. With Meng Zheng’s character, he would definitely do something to make Yan Nian regret it.
Yan Nian had offended too many people and done too many self-destructive things. There was no need for her to do anything herself, lowering her status.
Sure enough, after the banquet, many people began to inquire about Yan Nian.
Soon, Yan Nian’s identity and deeds were uncovered one by one. The merchant’s face darkened upon seeing this information; he had indeed brought in trouble.
Fortunately, Her Majesty the Queen appreciated his talents and didn’t mind Yan Nian.
But he absolutely couldn’t keep Yan Nian. As he planned to have someone send Yan Nian away, Meng Zheng arrived.
“I am Yan Nian’s former boyfriend. Are you interested in hearing a story?”
The merchant knew Meng Zheng, who was also one of Her Majesty’s capable subordinates, and respectfully invited him in.
Half an hour later, Meng Zheng left with a smile, a smile somewhat resembling that of their Queen.
Another half hour later, the merchant decisively had her sent away. Initially, he intended to give her some gold, but after hearing Meng Zheng’s words, he decided to be more ruthless.
With such a past, and being a woman who had harmed Her Majesty the Queen, how could he dare to keep her by his side?
Yan Nian left the Sunset Empire. She wanted to see Su Ao and Meng Zheng, but neither intended to meet with her.
She wandered through many places, mingling with various men, living a life where she couldn’t eat fresh vegetables and fruits every day. She couldn’t help but think of the beauty of the Sunset Empire.
She always wanted to find a man who could take her to live in the Sunset Empire. This time, she would never approach Tang Guo again and would definitely conceal her identity.
She just needed to survive in that paradise.
However, she never succeeded again, just drifting without a permanent home. Fortunately, she had a beautiful face and didn’t starve to death.
Yan Yi, upon hearing about Yan Nian, merely smiled and said, “Serves her right.”
