“Greetings, Your Majesty the Queen.” Su Ao quickly reacted and bowed deeply, showing his respect wholeheartedly. “My name is Su Ao.”
Tang Guo nodded, “I know you, you were always by Yan Nian’s side.”
“Yes,” Su Ao replied, “But that’s all in the past. Now, I am a citizen of the Sunset Empire, a subject of Her Majesty the Queen. Everything from before has nothing to do with me anymore.”
“Quite perceptive of you. You have a good eye; choosing this place won’t disappoint you.”
Su Ao gave a faint smile. Indeed, he would not be disappointed anymore. This place was where he belonged, although the zombie queen here was beyond his expectations.
Despite many doubts in his heart, they were no longer important. Could a woman who single-handedly established the Sunset Empire be simple?
Was she the kind to deliberately slander others, frame people, and compete with others for men?
Having spent a long time with Yan Nian, he understood the underlying intricacies.
As for this queen, was she really so infatuated with Yan Yi? Perhaps at first, but later? Maybe she had her own plans.
Tang Guo found Su Ao’s speculative gaze amusing. Everyone thought they were smart, trying to figure out her thoughts.
First it was Qin Jiaren, now Su Ao. Actually, she didn’t mind at all. Yes, she showed it to them on purpose.
“Since you are already a level six zombie, go join the National Defense Squad. Occasionally take on tasks, and protect the safety of the Sunset Empire.”
Su Ao’s eyes lit up, and he quickly replied, “Alright.”
“Wu Chu, find him a place to stay. By the way, it’s important to inform us before you evolve to level seven.”
Seeing Su Ao’s confusion, Tang Guo continued, “A level seven zombie’s appearance returns to normal human state, like the person beside you now, who is a level eight zombie.”
Su Ao was shocked, Wu Chu was a level eight zombie?
He had previously thought Wu Chu was human, and now recalling Tang Guo’s words, he felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of returning to human appearance at level seven.
“Mutant plants and animals on the planet can all be eaten by zombies. By eating them, you can absorb energy and level up quickly. If you don’t have time, just eat more.”
Su Ao was even more astonished, could it really be like this?
The mutant plants and animals feared by many were actually food for zombies to evolve?
This… was unbelievable.
“As for the Lickers and other disgusting creatures emerging from underground, those need to be exterminated. Ignore the ones outside, but you must kill any that invade.”
Su Ao noted all this down, thinking to himself that Her Majesty the Queen held grudges deeply.
He could guess that Yan Yi was likely trying to consolidate the remaining bases and humans, and she must be aware of that too.
Now, the Sunset Empire was peaceful and stable, while people outside were still suffering.
He could already imagine how miserable Yan Yi’s future would be. Somehow, he felt a bit of joy in his heart.
Yes, joy.
Su Ao’s departure made Yan Nian unhappy for a while, but only for a while.
Soon, she and Yan Yi were busy integrating all the bases. Through various means, Yan Yi finally managed to merge all bases into one, called the Sunshine Base.
With this result, Yan Nian finally breathed a sigh of relief. The Sunshine Base now ruled an area, much like what she had seen in the novels.
The Sunshine Base worked together to build a city, which they named Sunshine City. Yan Yi became the city lord of Sunshine City and was respectfully referred to as Lord Yan.
However, reality was still unfriendly to human survival.
