She roared viciously at Tang Guo, “Was it you who cut off my son’s manhood?”
“Yes, it was me.”
“I’ll fight you to the death.”
Tang Guo casually flicked the white silk, and the old woman was sent flying into the wall. She did not bother with the man clutching himself below, who was almost unconscious, nor did she pay attention to the old woman who had been thrown aside.
She walked to the edge of the heated brick bed and looked at the girl whose jeans had already been pulled off. She patted her. “Do you want to leave this place?”
The light that had faded from the girl’s eyes gradually returned. She raised her head and saw a female ghost floating before her.
She subconsciously glanced around the room. The man was clutching himself, and there was a pool of blood on the ground. Beside the blood was a disgusting lump.
At that moment, she inexplicably felt relieved. Compared to the despair earlier, she was not so afraid of this floating female ghost.
“Can I really get out?”
Tang Guo smiled at her. “If you want to leave, I’ll take you out.”
The girl’s eyes instantly turned red. To Tang Guo’s surprise, after pulling up her pants, she rushed forward and hugged her, crying in muffled sobs, her voice choking. “Thank you. I want to leave this place. No matter if you’re human or ghost, you’re the best. If you’re human, then you’re a good person. If you’re a ghost, then you must be a good ghost.”
“Let’s go.” The girl released Tang Guo and asked curiously, “Are you really a ghost? Why can I hold you?”
“Wasn’t that to keep you from falling?”
Tang Guo could not help but smile. She had been standing at the edge of the heated brick bed. When the girl rushed over, if she had not solidified her soul form, the girl would definitely have tumbled down.
“Let’s go.”
The girl did not ask anything more. She did not care about the old woman or the man in the room. She followed behind Tang Guo, her eyes filled with admiration and reliance.
She hurried forward and grabbed Tang Guo’s hand. “I’m a little scared. Can I hold your hand?”
“Go ahead.”
“My name is Zhou Linlin. What’s yours?”
“Tang Guo.”
“Then I’ll call you Guoguo. You look about the same age as me.”
Tang Guo smiled faintly. “Because I’ve been dead for many years. In fact, I’m older than you.”
“Guoguo sounds nicer.”
Tang Guo brought Zhou Linlin to the pile of grass and told her to wait again. She turned back and glanced at the two girls hugging each other and comforting one another, hiding carefully in the grass. Then she drifted back into the village.
This time, it was the last girl, Ning Xiangsi.
She waited for a long time but did not hear Ning Xiangsi scream. Instead, she heard a man’s scream.
She drifted into the house and understood the reason.
It turned out that Ning Xiangsi knew some fighting skills. Earlier she had pretended to be obedient and, when the man was not paying attention, kicked him hard below. Judging by the man’s scream, he would probably not be able to use it for the time being.
Seeing this, Ning Xiangsi tried to run, but she was still somewhat naive.
As soon as she pushed the door open, she was seized by several men and dragged back into the house. Her hands were tied behind her back. This time, there was no way for her to escape.
The man who had been clutching himself earlier, hissing in pain and baring his teeth, rushed up to Ning Xiangsi and slapped her across the face. “You damned woman.”
“Are you looking for death?”
“You’ve ruined your man. How are you supposed to get pregnant now?”
Ning Xiangsi said coldly, showing no fear at all, “I want to cut off your line. You foul men, better that your roots are severed so you can’t harm anyone else.”
