[Host, I’ve finished collecting all of Feng Yu’s crimes. Whether it’s evidence or recordings, no one in the Feng family can clear Feng Yu of the charges.]
[Should I submit it now?]
Tang Guo laughed softly. “Submit it.”
Taking a life must be punished, must it not?
The law has not yet covered this area, but the truth still has to be made public.
“Help me connect to my parents’ phones. I don’t want them to get too emotional later. Whether I live in the network or in reality, as long as I’m alive and well, they won’t be that heartbroken.”
The system complied.
Tang Guo quickly contacted Mr. and Mrs. Tang and told them the entire truth. At first, they found it unbelievable and thought she was a scammer.
When a series of evidence was presented before them, they went to Tang Guo’s livestream room and carefully watched the videos of her and Xia Yi after the incident. Only then did they finally accept that although the girl who livestreamed later had their daughter’s body, she was not their daughter.
Tang Guo persuaded them for a long time, telling them she was doing well now and asking them not to be sad. Feng Yu would soon be punished.
“Guo Guo, what about your body?” Tang’s mother nearly lost her voice. They could not possibly let that unknown person continue occupying Guo Guo’s body.
Thinking about how everything that belonged to their daughter had been taken away by someone else, the Tang couple felt nothing but anger and sorrow. Feng Yu had schemed for so long just to seize their daughter’s body. How could they accept that?
“Mom, if one day Xia Yi disappears, you don’t need to preserve my body anymore.” Tang Guo’s figure appeared on the computer screen. That familiar face made the Tang couple burst into tears. She said lightly, “Cremate it.”
Seeing their grief, she pulled Feng Ming out from the corner where he had been hiding. Faced with the sudden appearance of a young man holding their daughter’s hand, the two even forgot to be sad and simply stared at him.
“This is my boyfriend.”
Tang Guo introduced him with a smile. When she saw their incredulous expressions, and the complicated look on their faces, she guessed they thought Feng Ming was not human. “He is also a human brainwave.”
“His name is Feng Ming. You should be very familiar with that name.”
The two were stunned again. Feng Ming, was he not the one who had played games to the point of losing his life?
His surname was Feng.
Feng Yu’s uncle?
The two exchanged glances, not very satisfied.
“Uncle, Auntie, I don’t need that nephew. I only want Guo Guo.” Feng Ming quickly expressed his stance. “In reality, I died long ago. I don’t have much to do with them. That boy not only stole my research results but also used such vicious means to harm Guo Guo. In both sentiment and reason, I will not stand by his side.”
The Tang couple thought through many things in an instant. Their daughter was probably unwilling to return.
They were sad, but their daughter had not truly died. She simply could not have a physical body. Thinking of it that way, it was not quite as unbearable.
Feng Yu was a madman. If he insisted on bringing their daughter out, who knew what more extreme things he might do.
Since their daughter liked the network world and had another human brainwave accompanying her, and since they could see each other anytime there was an internet connection, it was not entirely unacceptable.
Just like that, Feng Ming passed their inspection and was officially allowed to hold his wife in his arms.
That day, Feng Yu was in the room, gently feeding Xia Yi, who refused to eat and whose mind had grown somewhat scattered. He even wore a tender expression.
Suddenly, the door was forced open. Several uniformed officers rushed in and immediately handcuffed him.
In her dazed state, Xia Yi thought to herself, and a smile appeared on her lips. She was finally saved. Feng Yu had been arrested, so this body was hers now.
