Tang Guo was about to continue talking with the system when she suddenly noticed something was wrong with Yin Yao. She felt that his body was extremely hot.
“Ah Yao?”
“Ah Guoguo, I am fine. I just feel as if a mysterious power inside my body is about to awaken. Aside from feeling a bit hot, my body actually feels very comfortable.”
Yin Yao sounded relaxed, and Tang Guo believed him. She could clearly sense that mysterious power emerging within his body.
Could it be that the mysterious energy between heaven and earth existed only for beastmen?
If that were the case, she could roughly understand why that barrier existed. Humans could not cultivate this mysterious power, while beastmen could.
Beastmen were already powerful by nature, and if they could also cultivate mysterious power, the threat to humans would be enormous.
Humans were numerous and clever. Scheming against beastmen, who were fewer in number, would be easy. What needed to be determined now was whether the beastmen had been driven into the barrier, or whether those people had extracted the mysterious power from the lands of the beastmen.
Tang Guo led Yin Yao to a hidden spot. Yin Yao did not resist at all. He felt that the mysterious power within his body would bring him tremendous benefits, so he quietly sat there and sensed it.
Tang Guo and the system carefully observed his body. They discovered that the mysterious power was reshaping Yin Yao’s meridians. His meridians were becoming more and more perfect, and his aura was growing increasingly powerful.
[Host, Yin Yao’s aura is already stronger than that person I scanned earlier. This growth speed is terrifying. It is no wonder the beastmen were driven into that place.]
Tang Guo agreed. Beastmen were indeed more straightforward compared to humans. Humans were far too cunning, and a bit of scheming was enough to trap beastmen.
Moreover, the annual beast tide was very likely something these people had engineered, all to wipe out the beastmen completely.
They did not dare cross the barrier because they were afraid the beastmen would discover their existence and one day find this barrier that could only isolate mysterious power. If that happened, the beastmen would instantly increase in strength just like Yin Yao.
At that point, even if the beastmen were fewer in number, humans would not be able to stand against them.
Of course, she was not interested in any of this. She had no interest in saving the beastmen either. What she was interested in was increasing the strength of the beastmen. As for the hatred between beastmen and humans, that was something they could resolve themselves after she left this world.
About half a day later, the redness on Yin Yao’s face faded and he returned to normal.
He tested the strength of his body and threw a punch at the rock wall. A hole was easily blasted through it. He froze for a moment, clearly shocked by his own power.
With his current strength, he no longer needed to fear the beast tide. He dared say that even if a hundred came, dealing with them would be effortless.
“Ah Guoguo, I want to investigate further.”
Yin Yao was still fixated on the matter of the beast tide. If he did not uncover the cause and effect, he would not be at ease. He also wanted to know whether his father was still alive.
Tang Guo smiled at him. “Then go. But we need to observe the surroundings first.”
Yin Yao agreed. Tang Guo deliberately led Yin Yao toward an area where people were present. The two of them quietly hid nearby and observed those people.
“They are different from us beastmen.”
“They are very weak.”
Tang Guo nearly burst out laughing. Compared to Yin Yao in his current state, they really were weak.
