As soon as those words fell, Su Qing and Nan Yunchuan looked at each other. Even Xiao Jin felt a headache coming on.
Sometimes, plotting against a fool was not that easy.
Who knew how a fool’s mind worked?
Now they could not win over Yin Qiu and Shan Ge anymore, because they had just told Tang Nuoyue that the Empress might harm her.
Tang Nuoyue now suspected that Yin Qiu and Shan Ge were the Empress’s people. Without proof of their innocence, any contact with them would only make Tang Nuoyue misunderstand.
Just thinking about it gave them a headache.
This time leaving the palace, their goal had been to make Tang Nuoyue suspect that the Empress would harm her.
Of course, for their later plans to proceed smoothly and to make Tang Nuoyue trust them wholeheartedly, they would arrange many more things so that Tang Nuoyue would only believe in them.
But for today, it was better to stop here.
The few of them exchanged glances. In the end, Su Qing and Nan Yunchuan said their farewells to Tang Nuoyue and left.
Tang Guo and the system both watched this scene. The one person and one system fell silent for a moment, then Tang Guo asked, “System, do you feel like this scene looks familiar?”
[Now that the host mentions it, it does feel very similar.]
“Do you remember where from?”
[I remember now, host. Isn’t this just like those prince novels we used to read? The kind where the prince is very scummy, except this time it is a female prince.]
Tang Guo nodded. She also remembered.
This Tang Nuoyue seemed to be taking the route of a scummy prince.
The two did not continue speaking, because they saw that Tang Nuoyue had actually gone to Shan Ge’s room.
[Host, what is this Prince Yue planning to do?]
Tang Guo also shook her head. At first, she had thought Tang Nuoyue was filled with hatred and intended to take revenge.
But later, Tang Nuoyue was actually able to endure and get along peacefully with these men. Not only that, she did not reject their ambiguous interactions.
She had married Xiao Jin and even shared a bed with him, seeming to have no dissatisfaction at all.
It was as if she were a true prince of a female-dominated country, doting on her consorts.
Even when Su Qing and Nan Yunchuan appeared, though Tang Nuoyue clearly knew their intentions, she did not reject them and even followed the original course of events.
She was very curious about what Tang Nuoyue actually wanted to do.
Now, after everyone else had left, Tang Nuoyue had come to Shan Ge’s room. That made things interesting.
“Prince Consort, you suffered today.”
Shan Ge indeed felt very wronged. His fate had been poor. Long ago, he had no choice but to marry the foolish prince of the Xisheng Kingdom and had been mocked by many.
These recent days had been especially difficult.
But what could he do? Tang Nuoyue was a prince of the Xisheng Kingdom, he could not resist her.
“Your Highness, what are you saying? What Your Highness said earlier was correct. Shan Ge should not have appeared outside and disturbed Your Highness’s enjoyment.”
Tang Nuoyue sighed and walked to Shan Ge’s side, tugging at his sleeve. “Prince Consort.”
Shan Ge felt a bit alarmed. What was the Prince doing like this?
Tang Nuoyue looked aggrieved. “I did not want to treat you like that either. I had no choice.”
Shan Ge felt suspicious, but still wanted to hear her explanation.
“I suspect that they are approaching me with ulterior motives.”
Shan Ge was startled. “Why would Your Highness think that?”
Tang Nuoyue quickly pulled Shan Ge to sit down and recounted her encounter with Su Qing and Nan Yunchuan.
Shan Ge was actually a very intelligent man. After hearing Tang Nuoyue’s description, he felt that the matter was indeed somewhat coincidental.
