Feng Ming’s heart leapt with joy. He quickly wrapped his arms around his wife. “Then I will accompany Guoguo and roam this digital world forever. How does that sound?”
“Sounds good.”
“How does Guoguo want to deal with that brat?” Feng Ming’s hands were already itching. If possible, he truly looked forward to beating Feng Yu up properly.
Tang Guo’s smile faded. She glanced at Feng Yu, who was still frantically writing code, and let out a soft laugh. “Is there any fate more miserable than yearning for something you can never obtain?”
“Not only do I want him to yearn in vain, I want him to watch us in this digital world, loving each other, getting married, staying together forever.” She looked up at Feng Ming with a bright smile. “Ah Ming, do you think that is cruel?”
“Not at all. It is not cruel in the slightest. He deserves it.”
“So whatever I want to do, you support it?” Tang Guo’s tone shifted. “Why are you so lacking in principles?”
Feng Ming hugged her happily and kissed her forehead, eyes full of laughter. “What are principles compared to my wife? There can always be another nephew. But if I lose my wife, I will never find another.”
Whatever his wife wanted to do, of course he would support it with both hands.
Seeing her so pleased, his mind was filled with one thought. Indulge her, indulge her, indulge her in everything. Whatever she wanted, he would listen. In front of her, he was willing to lift her to the brightest place and watch her shine.
If she were a star, he would not be the moon. He would be the vast dark sky, surrounding her completely, letting her feel his presence at all times.
The system snorted. As expected of that familiar soul, first selling out his own younger brother, now selling out his own nephew. He and the host truly were cut from the same cloth.
Such a person without principles, the system liked him very much.
Especially watching the energy value soar rapidly, the system felt its future was dazzlingly bright.
Following the host truly promised a glorious future.
Xia Yi took everything she could carry and quickly left the city she had barely grown familiar with. She chose a remote place. She knew Feng Yu came from a powerful family. Game design was merely his hobby.
For a wealthy young master like him, finding someone would not be difficult.
Along the way, she replaced many of her belongings and finally arrived at a small town.
She quickly rented an apartment. Using the old account to stream was impossible.
She did not know how to do anything else, and she was even less willing to work as a waitress or wash dishes. Streaming games was her only option. She bought equipment, returned to the same streaming platform, and began what she called her new life.
But nothing turned out as she had imagined. As a new streamer, she had few viewers. She could not enjoy the former glory she once had. The daily tips were a far cry from what she had once received.
After several days, she began to lose interest.
While sorting through her belongings, she found she had taken quite a few gemstones, diamond necklaces, and gold jewelry. That eased her mind somewhat.
Thinking that there should still be several million in the bank card, she relaxed further.
Then it suddenly occurred to her. If she used the money from the card here, would she be discovered? Panic crept in.
The next day, she deliberately traveled to a distant city. Over two days, she withdrew cash there and then returned.
She believed she was not spending excessively, so the money should last for some time.
However, having grown accustomed to luxury in that lavish house, she could not help but choose the more expensive options when shopping.
Within a year, she had to travel out several times to withdraw more cash.
One day, she inserted her card into the ATM. Without checking the balance, she entered an amount. The screen displayed a message: insufficient funds.
She froze.
Quickly checking the balance, she saw only a few hundred left. Panic gripped her instantly.
How could that be? She clearly remembered there had been several million in it.
