Tang Guo lifted the curtain and personally saw the sedan bearers and the matchmaker fleeing at top speed, as if there were man eating creatures here.
She propped her chin inside the sedan chair and waited for a while. Just as she was about to get out, she heard movement outside.
She glanced out and saw a large group of zombies hopping toward the sedan chair. They lifted the curtain and looked at her, sniffing, as if confirming whether she was human.
In the end, she saw satisfaction on their pale faces. She could not help twitching the corner of her mouth. Did it really have to be this realistic?
She was certain that from Xia Yi’s perspective, it was impossible to see such subtle expressions on game characters. Even the full immersion games that were about to be released could not make characters and scenery look this vivid, so identical to reality, the way she perceived them directly.
The zombie in front of her was likely of a relatively high level. His body was not as stiff as the surrounding onlooking zombies, though he still moved by hopping. He raised his stiff arms, and Tang Guo’s sedan chair began to move.
Zombies carrying a sedan chair?
“Am I going to be shaken to death?” she communicated with the system.
The system replied weakly, [No idea, Host. Try to stay steady.]
But what happened next made them realize they had worried for nothing. The zombies carrying the sedan chair did not hop forward. They flew instead. She could feel that it was very stable. She was not afraid at all, despite being surrounded by terrifying zombies. She simply lifted the curtain and watched the night scenery of the town.
The leading zombie suddenly turned his head and gave Tang Guo a strange look. After seeming to confirm something, he turned back, reassured.
Tang Guo noticed that the behavior of these zombies was truly strange.
Before long, the sedan chair was set down. A somewhat stiff voice sounded outside, “Bride, get out of the sedan.”
Tang Guo very cooperatively stepped out. Having traveled through so many worlds, this was indeed her first time experiencing something like this. She was very curious and not worried about her own safety at all.
When Tang Guo walked out of the sedan chair, a large residence appeared before her eyes.
The leading zombie said another word, “Go in.”
Tang Guo lifted the hem of her wedding dress and obediently walked inside. This made the leading zombie even more puzzled. He scrutinized her for quite a while. Only after confirming that there was truly no problem did he look away.
The leading zombie pushed open a newly decorated bridal room. Tang Guo naturally walked in. Not long after, the zombie hopped back in and brought her food.
She checked carefully. This was indeed food meant for humans. She did not hold back and took a bite.
The leading zombie stared wide eyed at Tang Guo eating with great relish. With his stiff mind, he clearly could not understand why this bride was not afraid at all.
In the end, he could not detect anything wrong and could only leave.
“The taste is pretty good,” Tang Guo said to the system. “This is actually quite interesting. I wonder if the Zombie King is also interesting.”
In the plot, there was not much information about the Zombie King, and his appearances were rare. In the storyline, the original owner’s situation was also different from hers. She appeared directly in the game and became the bride. The original owner had controlled the bride’s body through her own brain waves. In essence, the two situations were different.
She was very certain that at present, this body seemed to be her own body. She had complete control. The bride was merely a game character and did not possess a soul.
As she was thinking, the door was pushed open.
She raised her head and looked at the figure walking in.
Yes, walking in. His body was not stiff. Aside from his somewhat pale complexion, he did not look like a zombie.
She stopped eating. This old zombie must be of the highest level. He could actually walk in normally, she thought to herself.
