After finishing breakfast and resting for a while, Feng Yu subconsciously picked up the coffee and took a sip. His eyes filled with amazement.
He had investigated her so thoroughly, yet it seemed he still did not understand her completely.
Thinking about how she never cooked before, never made coffee, and never thought of coming to the company to see him, he could not help secretly glancing at the beautiful woman sitting quietly not far away.
The way she sat there holding her phone quietly truly looked like an angel.
He quickly lowered his head and did not look at her anymore. If he looked for too long, he was afraid he would not be able to bring himself to do it later. Had he not already prepared for this for a long time, all for Xia Yi to live?
Xia Yi had been by his side for more than five years. Their feelings were deep, and neither of them could live without the other.
He took two more sips of coffee, then focused his gaze on the computer and immersed himself in work. During this time, Tang Guo did not say a single word. She only secretly took a photo of Feng Yu’s serious working profile and posted it to her feed, adding the caption: My boyfriend when he is working seriously.
Once Feng Yu immersed himself in work, he almost never raised his head. When he finally felt it was about time and stretched lazily, he subconsciously looked toward where Tang Guo had been sitting, but she was no longer there.
He shook his head. Just a passing fad.
He picked up the coffee that had already gone cold and took a sip. Even though it was cold, the taste was still just as good. He did not hesitate and drank it all.
After that, he threw himself back into work and completely forgot about eating.
At around twelve thirty, he felt that something in the office was off. When he looked up, he saw Tang Guo standing there, holding two thermal lunch boxes. His expression showed clear surprise.
“I happened to be free today. You were working, and it was not good to disturb you, so I went back to make some food and brought it over. This morning I heard you say you liked it, so I made a bit more.”
With curved brows and smiling eyes, Tang Guo placed the thermal lunch boxes on the desk. “Are you done with work? Even if you are not, you still need to eat first.”
Feng Yu felt a complexity he could not put into words, but it was quickly overtaken by the aroma of the food. When it was time to eat, he would still get hungry. How had he never noticed this before?
“Has Xiao Guo eaten?”
Tang Guo shook her head. “Not yet. I was in a hurry to come over, and I also wanted to eat with you.”
The taste was even better than in the morning. The dishes were plentiful, and even the snow white rice tasted better than anything he had eaten before. Her cooking was unexpectedly good, nothing like a wealthy young lady who only liked playing games.
It had been a long time since he had eaten such delicious and satisfying food. Without realizing it, he ate most of it by himself. After finishing, he felt a little embarrassed. “It is too good.”
“It is fine. I do not eat much anyway. Seeing Ah Yu like it makes me very happy.” Tang Guo’s gaze was sincere. Feng Yu quickly remembered his purpose and hurriedly shifted his eyes away.
“Is it boring to stay here with me?”
“It is alright. It is not boring, actually. Even though I am still sitting to the side playing games, I can always feel that there is another person beside me. It feels different.”
“In the future, let me bring you breakfast and lunch, Ah Yu.”
Feng Yu immediately refused. “No need. That would be too tiring for you. You still have to livestream until midnight. Not getting enough sleep is bad for your health.”
“Then I will bring you lunch. I can stay at your company in the afternoon anyway. I also promised my fans that I would livestream the life of a game designer. Ah Yu, do not make me break my promise.”
Feng Yu found it hard to refuse the beautiful and gentle woman in front of him. He subconsciously nodded. “Alright.”
After agreeing, he froze for a moment. There was no way to take it back now. Looking at her happy expression, the feeling in his heart became more and more uncomfortable.
