“I was afraid that if I went in, I would never come back and would never see Ah Guoguo again.”
“Ah Yao did the right thing. You cannot casually enter a place that is too dangerous, especially when you cannot be sure you will come out alive.”
But that place was something she intended to see for herself. She was not afraid of the unknown, and she disliked it even more.
“Ah Yao, do you still remember the location of that place?”
Yin Yao nodded and took out a piece of beast hide. “I drew a map. As long as that place has not changed location, following the route on the map will lead there. It just takes more than half a year for a round trip.”
Tang Guo looked at the map. It was far, but she still planned to go. She was not worried about the Mata Kingdom at all. Everything that needed to be handed over to Xili had already been done. With Xili’s intelligence, the Mata Kingdom would only grow stronger. Half a year was nothing. Even without her, nothing would go wrong.
But before leaving, she needed to draft a plan for Xili covering what needed to be done during those six months. That fellow was not particularly enthusiastic about territorial expansion. Without her pushing him, progress would slow down, and that simply would not do.
Tang Guo propped her chin on her hand, her eyes narrowing slightly. She looked playful and adorable, making Yin Yao laugh. He caught her hand and flicked her forehead lightly.
“What is Ah Guoguo thinking about?”
“Ah Yao, let us go check that place together. If we go in together, we will not have to worry about being separated.”
Yin Yao naturally agreed. Not uncovering the truth behind the Beast Tide would always be a regret.
“But before we leave, let us help Xili draft a development plan for the Mata Kingdom, so he does not slack off.”
After that, Tang Guo launched into a long explanation, all centered on how the Mata Kingdom should eventually rule the entire beastman world. In the end, Yin Yao could not help but ask, “Why does Ah Guoguo like expanding territory so much?” She did not seem like someone who enjoyed ruling.
“Of course it is to save up for a big revenge.”
She had traveled through countless worlds. She always tried to make each one interesting, rather than drifting through them numbly. This world had the Lado Tribe, those who betrayed her and hurt her, but it also had people like Aoli, who was so lovable, and Yin Yao, whom she cherished. Naturally, she wanted to live more vividly.
“Revenge?”
“With the Mata Kingdom’s current strength, we can do whatever we want to the Lado Tribe.”
Tang Guo raised her brows and lifted her chin. “That would be letting them off too easily.”
“Is killing them and taking their food considered revenge?”
Yin Yao touched her cheek gently. “Then how does Ah Guoguo want to take revenge to feel satisfied?” Whatever she wanted to do, he would help her.
“Of course it is to occupy every corner of the beastman world, leaving them only a single great forest. They will have nowhere else to go and can only hide there, worrying about the Beast Tide every year.”
Tang Guo spoke with confidence. “Everywhere in the world except that forest will be my territory. I will have the Mata Kingdom’s warriors build towering city walls. They will not even be able to step inside.”
Even though Yin Yao had imagined many possibilities, he truly had not expected Ah Guoguo’s vision to be this… grand. Such ambition left him feeling inferior.
So, just to leave the Lado Tribe with nowhere to go, she planned to take over the entire world.
The system silently agreed. Yes, this was her revenge. Same formula, same flavor, unchanged as ever. Even it felt impressed.
