“We can’t hand Luo Luo over,” Gaien said.
Vigo also spoke up, “If anyone dares suggest handing Luo Luo over, I’ll swallow him whole.”
Aimo, Ming Jiu, and Chief Black Wolf all nodded as well. None of them intended to give Ning Luo up. Ning Luo quietly let out a breath of relief. How was she supposed to know there was even a beastman kingdom out there, and that she would attract their attention? If she had known earlier, she definitely would not have done so many things and drawn notice to herself.
“We’re already surrounded by the Mata Kingdom warriors. There’s no way out,” someone said anxiously. “Chief, we don’t want to hand Ning Luo over either, but what should we do next?”
“The Mata Kingdom is extremely cruel. If we don’t do what they say, they’ll definitely wipe out our Lado Tribe.”
Ai Yi was also panicking. She had no desire to go to the notoriously brutal Mata Kingdom. She had heard that many tribes there were exploited mercilessly. Suddenly, her gaze landed on Tang Guo, who was sitting to the side looking utterly unconcerned. Ning Luo was also not far from her.
Comparing the two, Ai Yi was surprised to realize that Ah Guoguo was actually fairer than Ning Luo, and her figure looked even more slender.
Her eyes flickered as she leaned toward the female beastman beside her and whispered, “I think Ah Guoguo looks a bit like Ning Luo.”
“If Ah Guoguo went to the Mata Kingdom, they probably wouldn’t suspect that she’s not Ning Luo.”
“Ah Guoguo looks delicate, but she isn’t weaker than Ning Luo. She should be able to live just fine in the Mata Kingdom.”
The female beastmen began whispering among themselves. What started as hushed discussion gradually spread until nearly everyone was talking about it.
Deep down, what they were really thinking was that Ning Luo could bring countless changes to the tribe, while Ah Guoguo seemed somewhat dispensable. To put it bluntly, she did not appear to have contributed much to the tribe.
The Mata Kingdom was brutal, but they still treated females relatively well. If Ah Guoguo went in Ning Luo’s place, it would just mean changing locations. She would not be in mortal danger.
Vigo heard these words and curled his lips into a smile. “I think this idea is quite good. Ah Guoguo can indeed replace Ning Luo and go to the Mata Kingdom. What do you think, Chief?”
Chief Black Wolf hesitated.
Before he could speak, Gaien said, “Ah Guoguo, Ning Luo is so weak. You should go in her place this once.”
Aimo followed. Ming Jiu did not speak, but since he did not object, it was clear that he agreed.
The tribe members all looked at Tang Guo with bright eyes, as if this were an excellent solution.
“What are you all thinking?” Aoli suddenly stood up. “How can you suggest sending Ah Guoguo to the Mata Kingdom? Do you know how cruel the people of the Mata Kingdom are? Even if they treat females well, what if they find out Ah Guoguo is a fake?”
“Have you forgotten that Ah Guoguo’s parents died for our Lado Tribe?”
“Who was it that came up with the idea during the last Beast Tide, allowing us to avoid the beasts so that no one died?”
“The place we’re living in now, wasn’t it discovered by Ah Guoguo?”
“And that big blade we’re using, wasn’t it picked up by Ah Guoguo?”
Aoli was furious. How could these people forget Ah Guoguo’s kindness? No matter who they chose to replace Ning Luo, it should never be Ah Guoguo.
“But we can’t hand Ning Luo over.”
“That’s right. Ning Luo absolutely cannot be handed over. She’s the most intelligent female. Keeping her in the Lado Tribe is what’s best.”
