“Ah!”
Vigo let out a scream, drawing Gaien, Aimo, and the others. They rushed into the cave at once and unexpectedly ran into a very suggestive scene. If one ignored the pain on Vigo’s face, it really was quite eye catching.
Seeing more and more people rush in, Ning Luo hurriedly wrapped herself in animal hide. When she noticed how pale Vigo looked, she forgot about being embarrassed and quickly held him. “Vigo, what’s wrong? Where does it hurt? I’m sorry, you’re still injured. We shouldn’t have done that.”
Vigo clenched his teeth and comforted Ning Luo at the same time. “My body hurts.” It hurt badly, as if something inside him were gnawing at him.
The pain was so intense that he wanted to claw his own skin open and tear apart the place that hurt.
Seeing how much pain Vigo was in, everyone quickly forced the image they had just seen out of their minds. “What’s wrong with Vigo?”
“I don’t know. He says his whole body hurts. I…” Ning Luo suddenly thought of Tang Guo. “Gaien, go get Ah Guoguo. Vigo’s injuries were treated by her. She must know what’s wrong.”
Tang Guo was brought over very quickly. She looked at Vigo curled up in pain, then at the blush that still had not faded from Ning Luo’s face, along with the obvious marks on her body. She laughed coldly to herself.
How could she possibly have healed that treacherous snake so easily? Still, her expression was serious as she asked, “What’s wrong with Vigo?”
“Ah Guoguo, please take a look. Vigo says his whole body hurts. Could there be something wrong with the herbs?”
[Host, I really don’t get it. She begged you to save him, and now that his life is saved, he’s in some pain and she’s already ready to blame you. With that tone, if you can’t fix it, she’ll probably dump all the blame on you.]
Tang Guo smiled faintly. “You’ll understand after watching more. Once you upgrade faster and gain more human emotions, you’ll understand this kind of thinking.”
She squatted down and pretended to examine Vigo carefully.
Of course she knew exactly what was wrong with him. Vigo had fought wild beasts and must have transformed into his true form. He was a snake. Even with scales, he could not compare to beasts with thick hides. His body had been torn open, and many sharp stones and broken branches had lodged inside.
Under normal treatment, those things should have been removed before applying medicine. Tang Guo deliberately skipped that step. After all, she did not understand medicine that well, did she? She had saved his life, after all.
With sharp stones and branches still inside his body, it would be strange if Vigo were not in agony.
She had also secretly accelerated the healing of his wounds. He still had plenty of suffering ahead of him.
“I don’t see any problem with Vigo,” Tang Guo said innocently. “I followed the High Priest’s method to stop the bleeding and close the wound. He’s already fine now. If his body hurts, could it be an old problem?”
“I definitely don’t have any old problems,” Vigo said coldly, glancing at Tang Guo.
Tang Guo spread her hands helplessly. “I really can’t tell. You all insisted that I treat him. If I had known, I wouldn’t have helped.”
“Ah Guoguo, don’t be like that. Please don’t be angry. Vigo is just in too much pain. I’ll apologize to you on his behalf,” Ning Luo said quickly. “Ah Guoguo, please check him again.”
“I really can’t find anything,” Tang Guo replied. “It’s only been a few days. How about waiting a few more days to observe? Maybe it will get better on its own.”
Ning Luo thought that made sense, and Vigo did not object either. He probably believed his injuries were simply too severe. Neither of them noticed the mischievous smile at the corner of Tang Guo’s lips.
