The next day finally arrived. Ning Luo heard that the tribe members were going out and proposed joining them to look for items that might be useful, things only she would recognize.
Black Wolf agreed. Gaien, Aimo, and Ming Jiu were all uneasy and went with her.
Originally, Mike and Mier were also supposed to go out hunting. However, because Tang Guo had reminded Aoli beforehand, Aoli insisted that they stay in the dwelling with her for the entire day. These two Beastmen obeyed Aoli without question. Her words carried more weight than even the Chief’s. They immediately asked Black Wolf for leave.
Black Wolf believed that with Gaien, Aimo, and Ming Jiu present, there would be no problems, so he agreed.
“My dear Aoli, you are not planning to make us do nothing but sit in the dwelling with you all day, watching you sew clothes, are you?” Mike said.
Mier could not help speaking up as well. “At least if we go out, we can find some food so we can live well this winter. We also have to plan for next year. Maybe next year we will even have cubs.” As he said this, his face was full of happiness, and Aoli immediately knocked him on the head.
“What nonsense are you thinking about? What cubs? Ah Guoguo said I am a little princess. I am not at the age to have cubs yet.”
“Yes, everything Aoli says is right.”
“Then Aoli, you should tell us the real reason you are keeping us here today,” Mike asked pitifully.
Aoli glanced outside. Mier wisely went out to check, then came back and whispered, “Aoli, I checked. No one is around. You can say it.”
“Ah Guoguo told us not to go out today.”
The two brothers looked at each other, surprise flashing in their eyes. Ah Guoguo? That female who always smiled while holding a pile of dried fruit and sat outside chewing on them? She was also their Aoli’s good friend.
The two brothers were actually from the Fox Clan. Not only were they strong, but they were also very intelligent. They did not believe Ah Guoguo would casually tell them not to go out without a reason. There had to be a purpose.
Seeing how carefree Aoli looked, they chose not to say anything more. Their Aoli was very pure. She only needed to live happily. Troublesome matters could be left to them.
Still, they thought about it for a long time and could not figure out why Tang Guo had stopped them from going out.
It was not until the afternoon that tribe members began returning one after another, all looking disheveled.
The two brothers exchanged a glance. Something had happened.
They rushed out to ask what was going on and learned that the tribe members had entered an unfamiliar area and somehow gotten separated.
Aimo had returned with Ming Jiu. Many others had not come back yet, including their Chief, Black Wolf. Ning Luo and Gaien were also missing.
The entire tribe fell into panic. The most shocked were Mike and Mier.
They quietly withdrew from the crowd and returned to the cave. After confirming that no one was paying attention to them, they began speaking in low voices.
“Is Ah Guoguo able to foresee the future?”
“If not, how could she have stopped us from going out today?”
The two brothers looked utterly confused. No matter how clever they were, they could not figure it out.
“Mike, Mier.”
Hearing Tang Guo’s voice, the two brothers stiffened and turned around. Seeing that she was alone, they relaxed slightly. They hesitated, but without resolving the mystery, it felt uncomfortable.
“Ah Guoguo,” Mike spoke first. “Could you foresee what would happen today?”
Tang Guo beckoned them closer. Once they stepped nearer, she spoke with a solemn expression.
“Last night, I only dreamed of a voice telling me to tell my best friend Aoli and her family not to go out. I do not know anything else.”
System: The Host is pretending to be a prophet again.
“There is another important matter as well,” Tang Guo continued calmly. “I was just about to tell you.”
