Now it was clear. She needed to remember hatred, because she did not want to lose herself. No matter how dark or painful the situation, she had to stay clear-headed.
Even if she was destined to be a supporting female character, even if she could not see the road ahead, she would still remember that hatred in order to keep going.
However, she would never let hatred blind her eyes.
In a world full of despair, she would choose mutual destruction.
In a world with even a sliver of warmth, she would not give up on living unless her lifespan ran out. If it was a world warm from the start, she would definitely make it even better.
Thinking back on this made the System especially sad. If it had a body like a human, with eyes that could cry, then every time it recalled those dark worlds, it would probably sob all day long.
[Host, how did you manage to get through it back then?] It thought, and the words slipped out before it could stop itself. It quickly corrected, [No, let’s not talk about that. Host, I should not have asked.]
Tang Guo laughed. “Tongzi, you are sounding more and more like a person.”
[Sigh… I cannot help it. Upgrading too fast has made me feel like a person.] It felt conflicted. Being like a person was both good and bad.
Tang Guo smiled. “Why think so much? We still have not figured out your origin, your factory address. If your program glitches, I will not be able to repair you.”
[Host, you must be joking. I do not think I will break down.] The System grumbled furiously to itself. How could it possibly break? It must not break. If it did, who would stay by the Host’s side all the way?
Just imagining that scene made it feel sad. It almost wanted to cry.
But it was a system. Without tears, what was the point of crying?
“Ah Guoguo.”
Yin Yao walked over at that moment and sat down beside her. “What are you thinking about?”
“I am thinking about when the Beast Tide will come,” Tang Guo said. After the Beast Tide passed, it would be time for Aoli’s accident. After that, it would be time for her to leave this place. Calculating the time, it was less than half a year. That was actually quite fast.
She glanced at Yin Yao, smiling. “High Priest.”
“What do you want to say?” Yin Yao did not look away from her pretty face. If not for the beastmen all around them, he might have wanted to reach out and touch it.
Tang Guo’s smile grew even brighter. Yin Yao’s intuition told him the next words were going to be troublesome.
“High Priest, you did not finish answering my question last time. Who exactly do you want to mate with…” Before Tang Guo could finish, Yin Yao stood up. He swept a glance at the many tribe members looking over curiously, his ears red. “Ah Guoguo.”
“Yes, High Priest, are you going to answer me now?”
Yin Yao clenched his fist. “No.”
He bent down and whispered, “Next time you have a question, ask me privately. Do not ask in front of so many members.”
Tang Guo had thought he would refuse directly, so she had not expected him to say that. She was secretly delighted. “Alright, then I will come ask you privately from now on. I will go to your place.”
Yin Yao’s heart fluttered, and he quickly stood and turned toward the cave. “I still have to study the animal hide from last time.” In truth, he was already done.
He walked in quickly, afraid the little female would chase after him and loudly ask, “High Priest, who do you want to mate with in your heart?” A scene like that would certainly draw the eyes of all the members.
The Lado Tribe was calm for the moment. One night, Gaien quietly led a blushing Ning Luo out.
Black Wolf, who had not been asleep to begin with, opened his eyes. Perhaps uneasy, he followed them in silence.
