Because of the reputation of Tang City and the reputation of Elder Yuan and the others, many of their students were willing to come work at Tang City University.
In no time, Tang City University gathered the top teachers from across the country. In its first year of enrollment, countless students listed this university as their first choice, all hoping to spend a few years of university life at this legendary school.
Tang Guo and Song Ye successfully became the first batch of students at the university. The two were classmates, and their teachers were all renowned literary masters.
Xin Ziyue also took a teaching position at the university, teaching mathematics. But with so many literary masters present, along with accomplished figures in mathematics, she had no chance of teaching Tang Guo and Song Ye.
Especially after finding out that Elder Yuan was Song Ye’s grandfather and greatly admired Tang Guo, Xin Ziyue didn’t dare act recklessly.
Moreover, many of the calligraphy works displayed around campus were by Tang Guo. Looking at those unique and elegant characters, Xin Ziyue had to admit that this village girl was the most outstanding one in the world, not a simple person at all.
What struck Xin Ziyue even harder was that Tang Guo was a genius in mathematics.
No, this village girl was a genius in all areas. Whatever she studied, she mastered. She could draw inferences from one example to understand many things.
Especially in mathematics, even the elderly mathematician praised Tang Guo’s talent, saying she had more aptitude than he did and grew fond of her talent, asking if she had plans to pursue this field. In the end, Tang Guo declined.
At the time, Xin Ziyue was also present. She deeply admired that mathematician and often came to seek his guidance. She personally heard Tang Guo say, “Research is too time-consuming. I came to college only to experience university life. The one thing I want most in this life is to stay by Ah Ye’s side and help build our Tang City.”
Later, Tang Guo really did just that.
It was only through close contact that Xin Ziyue realized how outstanding the village girl she once looked down upon truly was.
The literary masters, senior professors, and scholars at Tang City University all liked Tang Guo. No matter how profound the topic, she could always share her insights.
Later, Xin Ziyue discovered that Tang Guo didn’t just know English, she also knew German, French, and Japanese.
Xin Ziyue was shocked. Just how ambitious was this village girl? When did she start self-learning all these languages?
Later, when exchange students and professors from various countries came to Tang City University, Tang Guo alone could communicate with them smoothly, switching between languages with ease. Foreign visitors were all impressed by this remarkable woman from China and astonished that such an incredible person had emerged from Tang City.
No matter whom she met, Tang Guo was always composed and calm, something Xin Ziyue could never achieve.
This woman was truly extraordinary.
In the years that followed, every time Xin Ziyue saw Tang Guo, she felt ashamed of her past thoughts.
The ancients were right. There is always a sky beyond the sky, and people beyond people. In this world, you must never underestimate anyone.
When Tang City became a municipality directly under the central government, it was also the moment Tang City University stepped onto the world stage and the time when the second president of Tang City University took office.
The second president was Tang Guo.
No one was surprised that Tang Guo, who personally witnessed Tang City become a direct-administered municipality and Tang City University become a world-class institution that cultivated countless talents, would become its second president.
Even though she only completed university and didn’t pursue higher academic degrees, her cultural literacy was something even today’s doctoral students wouldn’t dare claim to surpass.
