“And in the future, it won’t be anything special for every household to eat meat daily.”
“Raising chickens in the mountains is very necessary. Even if no one around here buys them, we can sell them to other places.”
“The wealthier a family is, the more they value natural products. The more expensive, the more they like it.”
“In a few years, as the population increases and living standards improve, once people are well-fed and warmly clothed, they’ll start thinking about improving their environment. Housing will become very important, and only after that will transportation matter. Before that happens, we can focus on developing Tang Family Village, turning it into a hidden paradise and a future tourist destination.”
Tang Guo couldn’t help asking the system, “He isn’t reborn, is he?”
[No, Host. He just has a sharp vision. It probably has a lot to do with the environment he grew up in.]
“Some people are just born lucky, like their brains are running on cheat mode.”
Tang Guo was genuinely envious. A man who hadn’t been reborn could deduce future trends just from the basics of food, clothing, housing, and transport, even sketching out a future for Tang Family Village.
“Guo Guo, what do you think?” Song Ye spoke up, only to realize his little wife hadn’t responded. Looking down and seeing her in a daze, he assumed she didn’t quite follow. “If there’s anything you don’t understand, I’ll explain it to you slowly.”
Song Ye believed it was important to explain every plan he had to his little wife.
He didn’t just want to grow himself and develop Tang Family Village, he wanted to bring her along too. It wasn’t because he looked down on her background or thought she lacked knowledge. It was because only if they both progressed could they avoid drifting apart. And only if they always had things to talk about could their relationship grow stronger over time.
After talking with Song Ye for a while, Tang Guo realized this man was truly charming, very attractive and, in his own way, quite adorable.
His vision for the future covered every angle, and he even gently reminded her to keep improving herself, which she found both funny and endearing. He said if she didn’t understand something, she could ask him at night and they’d work through it together. Clearly, he had no intention of treating her like a decorative wife.
Looking at how earnestly Song Ye was talking, Tang Guo’s eyes curved into a smile. Song Ye occasionally noticed the way she was watching him, and his ears turned a bit red, but he never let go of her little hand. Being looked at like that by his wife made him want to do something big. Thinking about his past, he felt like it had all gone to waste.
Once they got to the mountains, Song Ye had Tang Guo stand in a safe spot while he moved through the underbrush. In the end, he caught a wild rabbit and two pheasants, while Tang Guo picked some wild vegetables.
On the way down the mountain, Song Ye carried the hidden game on his back and held his little wife’s hand the whole time. Their affectionate appearance stunned the villagers they passed.
“Isn’t that Educated Youth Song?”
“Looks like it, it’s Song Aloof.”
“And next to him… is that the village flower, Tang?”
“Yeah, that’s her.”
“Oh right, they just got married yesterday.”
Everyone looked at each other. Song Aloof actually smiled. And with the village flower? But honestly… they did look like a perfect match.
…
While working, Chen Ying overheard someone talking about Song Ye and Tang Guo. She lowered her head and smiled.
That man, Song Ye, anyone who got involved with him was unlucky. The two of them had tormented each other their whole past life, and finally, in this life, she was rid of him.
“Say what you will, those two really do look good together.”
Chen Ying curled her lip. So what?
That man, Song Ye, aside from being good-looking, he was useless. In their past life, they were a married couple in name only for decades. He accomplished nothing in his life. It just went to show that being good-looking really was his only redeeming quality.
