Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 885

The weather was quite pleasant today. Having finished handling the state affairs, Tang Guo originally intended to go to the Imperial Garden to soak up some sun.

In truth, before the late Empress passed away, she had left behind essentially no mess and had even solved many difficult problems in passing. As long as she, the Empress, made no major mistakes, the Xisheng Kingdom would basically remain free of turmoil.

In the previous life, it was only because Tang Nuoyue was too foolish that those few people were able to exploit the loopholes.

Therefore, she was occasionally quite idle. Furthermore, she was not the actual original owner; she had been an Empress or Female Emperor several times before, so handling government affairs and dealing with those “old foxes” in court was effortless for her.

Later, she thought about how there were people in the Imperial Garden every day trying to have a chance encounter with her. Right now, she had no desire to get entangled with those men.

So, she simply went to the palace of the Imperial Consort, Jing Cheng.

“Where is the Imperial Consort?”

“The Imperial Consort is currently practicing his swordplay. Your Majesty, shall we invite him over?”

“No,” Tang Guo waved her hand. “I remember there is a nice garden in the Imperial Consort’s palace, correct?”

“Yes.”

“Then lead me there.”

Everyone thought Tang Guo wanted to admire the flowers. They completely did not expect her to have a lounge chair brought out so she could lie down by the flower bushes and sleep under the warm sun.

The people surrounding Tang Guo looked at each other in dismay. When had Her Majesty become so careless? In their eyes, being able to sleep so casually in a place other than the Empress’s bedchamber, was that not the definition of carelessness?

They did not know that their Empress was no longer the original Empress. She dared to sleep while sunbathing so casually only because she had absolute certainty in guaranteeing her own safety.

Tang Guo was not actually asleep; it was the system telling her there was a situation at Tang Nuoyue’s manor.

When she began watching, it was exactly when Tang Nuoyue’s Prince Consort and her consort-servant, Yin Qiu, went to see her. Those two had not yet recovered from being severely whipped by Tang Nuoyue last time.

Upon hearing Tang Nuoyue walk up to Prince Consort Shan Ge and ask with a face full of confusion, “Prince Consort, why are you wearing a veil?”, the corners of Tang Guo’s lips turned up. Tang Nuoyue was very similar to her in one aspect: she held a grudge.

Prince Consort Shan Ge was wearing a veil. He had originally come to see Tang Nuoyue to test the waters, but he didn’t expect Tang Nuoyue to immediately ask why he was wearing a veil.

Did she really have no idea in her heart why he was wearing a veil?

Shan Ge truly did not know how to answer. He couldn’t exactly say: “Prince, was this not caused by you lashing me with a whip?”

Without waiting for his answer, Tang Nuoyue turned her gaze toward Yin Qiu and asked with a face full of curiosity, “Why are you limping? Were you born with bad legs and feet?”

Yin Qiu: Go to hell with being born with bad legs and feet.

Shan Ge’s heart felt slightly more balanced; it seemed the Prince did not remember the previous events. Recalling that day, when that whip lashed ruthlessly across his face, he found it impossible to like the person in front of him.

“Prince, we have come to congratulate the Prince on the matter of taking a Side Consort,” Shan Ge stated his purpose.

Tang Nuoyue nodded. “So that’s how it is. Fine, this Prince knows now.” She pulled the somewhat uneasy Xiao Jin to her side. “This is Xiao Jin, the Sixth Prince of the Qi Kingdom. He will soon be this Prince’s Side Consort.”

Xiao Jin’s expression was quite unsightly. What he hated most was people mentioning his status as the Sixth Prince of the Qi Kingdom while in the Xisheng Kingdom.

“Xiao Jin, are you unhappy?” Tang Nuoyue grabbed Xiao Jin’s arm, portraying a “silly sweet” person to the fullest extent. “You don’t need to mind them. This Prince only likes you.”

She glanced at Shan Ge and Yin Qiu and waved her hand.
