Qin Jiu wanted to say that it was impossible for him to have feelings for a female ghost, even if this one was very beautiful.
But just as the words were about to leave his mouth, something flickered through his mind and he swallowed them.
“Daoist Qin, it looked like you were about to say something but didn’t?”
Qin Jiu quickly shook his head. “No. Nothing at all.”
“Let’s talk about something else. Don’t always revolve around me,” Qin Jiu said, changing the topic. “For example, let’s talk about you.” He was very curious about her.
Tang Guo’s smile never faded. This little Daoist was truly adorable.
“Alright, we’ll talk about me. That’s true. Daoist Qin doesn’t know me well yet, so how could you possibly have thoughts about me?” Tang Guo nodded, ignoring the near cracking expression on Qin Jiu’s face. “Since Daoist Qin wants to understand each other, I’ll introduce myself.”
“My name is Tang Guo. I told you before. I was seventeen when I died. It’s been over three years, so I’m just a little over twenty now. I think I look fairly good. I’m a wandering ghost, but my strength is decent. I can float, and I can also solidify my form. So if we were to date and wanted to do something intimate, that wouldn’t be a problem.”
Qin Jiu was speechless.
He deeply regretted telling her to talk about herself. After spending these days together, he should have known this female ghost would push her advantage. She was completely thick skinned.
“If we got together, I promise I would only like you and treat you well. Of course, you could only like me and treat me well too. No betrayal allowed,” Tang Guo said with a smile. “Right now I’m a wandering ghost, and you’re single. If we were together, there would be no obstacles.”
“If any self righteous busybodies interfere, don’t worry. However many come, I’ll deal with them. I won’t let anyone bully you.”
“If they dare gossip, I’ll catch them and beat them until they stop meddling.”
“In short, I would treat you very, very well. Daoist Qin, are you tempted?”
His heart did skip once. He could see she was not joking. Those beautiful eyes were clear and bright like stars, without calculation, only a pure expression of her thoughts.
“In broad daylight, do ghosts also like to dream?” Qin Jiu looked away. “We’re almost at the station. Let’s handle the proper matter first.”
Inwardly, he could not help thinking that this female ghost had just said she would protect him. If anything were to happen between them, should it not be him protecting her?
Didn’t women usually hope their men would protect them? And did not men naturally want to protect the women they loved?
This female ghost was indeed a little different.
“Daoist Qin, I’m not joking. If you think it through and realize you like me even a little, confess early. I’ll only stay here for twenty years. Once I leave, you won’t have another chance to see me in this lifetime.”
Qin Jiu responded vaguely and said nothing more.
System: [Host, this Daoist is dense. You can’t flirt your way through him.]
“If he doesn’t move, then he doesn’t. I just flirt out of habit. If he likes me, that’s wonderful. If he doesn’t, I can’t force him.”
System: [Then don’t you feel it’s a pity? He’s quite likable. Not one of those rigid moralists.]
