At the instant the environment suddenly changed, Tang Guo was also momentarily stunned. She looked around and saw a forest surrounding her. The ground was paved with smooth stone slabs, and silver white moonlight shone down from above.
Different from when she had been inside the sedan chair earlier, the carriage she was now sitting in had an old European style. Tang Guo allowed the butler to help her down and followed him inside.
The castle looked quiet from the outside, but once inside, she discovered that there were many people within. They moved to the rhythm of the music, slowly dancing together on the floor. Everything looked harmonious, as if this were merely a late night ball.
The moment Tang Guo entered, many gazes fell upon her.
Especially the men present, whose looks toward Tang Guo were filled with teasing. Tang Guo calmly stood beside the butler, not caring about those aggressive gazes at all. They were just NPCs. There was nothing to be afraid of.
“This lady from the East is an honored guest of the master.”
The butler swept his gaze across the people at the ball. After he said this, those who had been staring directly at Tang Guo immediately shifted their eyes away and continued dancing with their partners, as if what had just happened had never existed.
The butler was very satisfied. He had Tang Guo wait to the side, poured her red wine, and brought her desserts.
During this time, no one dared approach Tang Guo, but she could hear the people in the dance floor discussing her.
“She is so beautiful.”
“What a pity she is the blood emperor’s food.”
“I hope the blood emperor is not satisfied with this little dessert.”
“You are dreaming. She looks delicious and sweet.”
Tang Guo took a sip of red wine and teasingly swept her gaze over those muttering to themselves. A bunch of NPCs, yet they were acting as if they knew how to gossip.
The system thought, look how smug the host is being.
Not long after, the music of the ball stopped, and a man appeared at the top of the staircase.
His gaze immediately fell on Tang Guo. When he saw her face clearly, he was visibly stunned.
Then he quickly walked down and stopped in front of Tang Guo.
