There was a lot of food placed on the table. The most eye catching was that large plate piled high with chicken legs. It seemed the zombie king truly believed she loved eating chicken legs, which made Tang Guo want to laugh.
He really was a lovable person.
She did not hold back at all and simply picked up the food and started eating.
Before long, she heard movement in the room. She turned her head to glance over and saw that Xia Yi’s game character had actually crawled in through a hole in the room.
The other party was covered in dust and grime. When she looked at Tang Guo, she even showed a silly, foolish smile, nearly making Tang Guo spray out the food in her mouth.
“Shh.”
Xia Yi’s game character made a silencing gesture toward Tang Guo. She cautiously scanned her surroundings, then slowly moved over to Tang Guo’s side.
In front of the computer, Xia Yi was actually a little nervous, especially when she saw the bride calmly gnawing on a chicken leg. Was this game really not meant to be comedic?
A horror comedy game?
“I am here to save you.”
“Come with me. I can take you out of the zombie town and send you home. I guarantee you can leave alive.”
Tang Guo laughed aloud. “Why would I go home?”
Xia Yi was clearly stunned. A line of dialogue appeared above her game character’s head. “This is a terrifying zombie town. You are human. If you stay here, sooner or later you will be turned into a zombie by the terrifying zombie king.”
“There are plenty of chicken legs to eat here. I am not going back.”
The viewers watching the livestream completely exploded at the bride’s reaction.
They all asked what kind of horror game this was and whether it was actually a comedy game instead. The bride’s reaction was completely beyond their expectations. The streamer had said today that there was a very interesting game. Was this what she meant, that the bride’s reactions were different from the norm?
Tang Guo gnawed on the chicken leg, making the viewers stare wide eyed. Was this really happening. Bride, was this not a bit lacking in elegance?
“You must come with me. If you do not leave now, it will be too late,” Xia Yi’s game character said again.
Tang Guo glanced at her. “You should go. I do not want to leave. Even if you send me back, what then. My family is extremely poor. All year round, a single chicken leg never makes it to me. There are many younger brothers and sisters at home. If you send me back, my parents will turn around and sell me to Master Wang in town.
“Master Wang is already seventy this year and has taken more than twenty concubines. I heard he can barely walk anymore. If you rescue me from here, are you not just pushing me into another pit of fire?”
Xia Yi was dumbfounded.
The viewers watching the livestream were also dumbfounded.
Bride, do you have to be this real?
Some people in the livestream room fell silent. Normally they had seen similar storylines, where a brave protagonist saved pitiful people.
At those times, they felt happy for the righteous protagonist, especially after the pitiful person was rescued and brought home.
But they seemed to have never thought about what kind of life those pitiful people would live after being sent home.
Were not those pitiful people often the ones sent here by their own families in the first place?
If their families were willing to let them die, then after being sent back, would those families really be happy. Just as the bride said, they would most likely be pushed into another pit of fire.
The protagonist represented justice. They only rescued the pitiful person from one pit of fire. In reality, they could not truly save these pitiful people at all.
Clearly it was a horror game, yet many people in the livestream room fell into deep thought because of it.
