Xia Yi was not accustomed to having a physical body yet and fell hard onto the floor. She did not quite understand why Feng Yu had let go of her.
She rubbed the spot where she had fallen and stood up, looking at Feng Yu with some annoyance. He was carefully picking up the laptop, frantically wiping off the water and taking it apart. Seeing this made her feel especially uncomfortable.
But she had only just obtained a body, and she and Feng Yu had been in love for so long. She still walked over and said, “Sorry, Ah Yu. I am not used to using a body yet, so I knocked over the cup and accidentally pushed the computer down.”
However, Feng Yu did not respond to her at all.
He only continued disassembling the computer rapidly, clearing out the water inside as quickly as possible, trying with all his experience to salvage the computer that contained Tang Guo’s “brain waves.”
His heart was beating extremely fast. He had never expected such an accident to happen.
If he could start over, he would definitely have put her into the USB drive first before checking on Xia Yi. Xia Yi had already obtained a body and was right there. She would not have been in danger.
Why did he go to check on Xia Yi first instead of protecting her first? She had already lost her body, and he had taken it himself. Now, could he not even protect her brain waves?
He did not hear a single word of what Xia Yi was saying beside him.
Right now, he had only one thought, to fix the computer and bring her back, to safely store her in the USB drive and keep it with him at all times so he would not lose her.
While repairing the computer, Feng Yu’s mind was filled with Tang Guo alone. What replayed in his memories were all the different versions of her he had seen over the past few months.
Yet the more urgent he felt, the more his hands trembled. Even after half an hour, he still had not fixed the computer.
Xia Yi started to feel hungry. Looking at Feng Yu like this, she felt somewhat sad. She was unfamiliar with this place, and she was afraid of damaging someone else’s things.
So she walked up to Feng Yu and patted his shoulder. “Ah Yu, I am hungry. Can you take me to eat something first?”
If what had just happened had not occurred, Feng Yu would have been very willing. The person he loved was Xia Yi. They had been together for many years. Having revived her, he should have been the happiest.
But now, he only felt that the woman speaking beside him was extremely irritating. That pat from Xia Yi happened to make his hand tremble, causing him to install something incorrectly. He raised his head with a gloomy expression. “Go to the side first.”
“Ah Yu…”
“Did you not hear me? I told you to go to the side first. If you are hungry, go find something to eat yourself. I do not have time to worry about you right now. I have something very important to deal with.”
Very important.
Xia Yi immediately felt wronged and burst into tears. Back when she was still just brain waves, Feng Yu had been very gentle with her. He had never spoken to her in such a cold tone or with such a frightening expression.
She found it hard to accept. “Ah Yu, I really did not mean to enter this body. Are you blaming me? If someone finds out, just let them take me away.”
She did not understand at all. The computer was broken, so be it. Even if the files were important, based on her many years of understanding Feng Yu, he should not have valued them this much.
At the very least, she believed that between files and her, Feng Yu should have chosen her.
But Feng Yu no longer paid her any attention. She could only cry as she squatted to the side, watching him carefully power on the computer. That expectant look was exactly like when Feng Yu had once told her that he could help revive her.
After the computer booted up, Feng Yu immediately went to look for Tang Guo’s “brain waves.”
