Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 730

“Of course I am interested. Ah Yu, you are amazing. You are about to usher in a new era of gaming.” Tang Guo did not hold back her praise at all, yet it did not make Feng Yu feel happy. Instead, he felt his heart almost suffocate, and even breathing became difficult.

“Ah Yu, I am really happy for you. Your name is about to be written into gaming history.”

“Thank you.”

It must be because he thought Xiao Guo was a good girl that he was feeling this hesitation. He touched the USB drive in his pocket, and that stifling feeling slowly faded.

His expression became firm, and a signature smile appeared on his face. “It should be about a month later before the gaming pod can be put into use. When the time comes, Xiao Guo will be the first trial user.”

“Really? That is wonderful. I have to tell my fans this good news. They will definitely be very happy and will also congratulate me on finding such an outstanding boyfriend.”

That unclear emotion surged up in Feng Yu’s heart again. Listening to the pride in Tang Guo’s voice only made him feel more uncomfortable. He wanted to end the topic as soon as possible. “I think it would be better to give Xiao Guo’s fans a surprise. We can test it first, and once the results are good, you can livestream it for them. That way, they will not be disappointed. Of course, I also have a selfish motive. This way, Xiao Guo can help us promote it. Even though Xiao Guo is my girlfriend, you will still be paid.”

“Then I will not hold back. Being the spokesperson for a full immersion gaming pod is my honor.”

“It is getting late,” Feng Yu decided to end the conversation himself. “Wash up and go to sleep. When there is news, I will tell you.”

“I am not streaming tomorrow. I am taking a day off. Ah Yu, I will bring you breakfast,” Tang Guo said quickly, not giving Feng Yu any chance to object. “It is decided then. I am hanging up.”

Feng Yu listened to the beeping tone from the phone, his expression undeniably complicated.

That night, he tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. Every time he closed his eyes, Tang Guo’s smiling face filled his mind. When he finally drifted into sleep, she was still there in his dreams, smiling happily, bringing him food, proudly introducing him to her fans.

It was not until close to six in the morning that he finally fell asleep in a daze. At seven thirty, his phone rang. He opened his eyes. Because he had not rested well the night before, he felt rather tired.

When Feng Yu arrived at Feng Corporation’s building, he saw Tang Guo standing at the usual spot as soon as he got out of the car. Her car was clearly parked not far away. Every time she had time to bring him breakfast, she would stand at this spot.

“Even though it is summer, the mornings are still a bit cool,” Feng Yu said with concern. “When you come in the morning, Xiao Guo, you can wait in the car or go upstairs to wait.”

“This place is the most noticeable. I want to see you at a glance, and I want you to see me at a glance too.”

Feng Yu took a deep breath and accepted the thermal lunch box from her. Tang Guo naturally looped her arm through his, just like always, and followed him inside. When he ate breakfast, she still went to make coffee for him.

The breakfast was still just as delicious. What he did not say was that when she did not bring breakfast, he had tried ordering takeout, but none of it tasted as good as what she made. He had also tried making coffee himself, but he could never recreate that rich aroma she brewed.

Sometimes, when she was busy in the afternoon and could not come, he would unconsciously lift his head while working and look toward the spot where she usually sat. When he saw no one there, he would feel a momentary sense of loss.

He ate his food and let out a low laugh. This damned habit was truly frightening.
