Transmigrated Canon Fodder, Please Calm Down! Chapter 670

Tang Guo pretended not to notice and said, “This time during the Beast Tide, the safety of our tribe members shouldn’t be an issue, right?”

“We still have the two other tribes we’re allied with,” Black Wolf said, his tone carrying a trace of worry. “We already agreed to cooperate and resist the Beast Tide together. Although our Lado Tribe no longer fears the Beast Tide, we can’t simply abandon them.”

At that moment, Ning Luo stepped out of her dwelling and happened to hear Black Wolf’s words. “Chief is truly righteous,” she said with a smile. “Since they are our friends, why not let them come here as well? That way, everyone can look out for each other. If the inner cave can’t house them, we still have time to clear some space outside. If we set more traps around, it should be fine.”

Black Wolf nodded. “That’s what I was thinking too. They’re already on their way. So you thought of this as well.” His usually stern face unconsciously softened into a smile as he looked at Ning Luo.

Tang Guo lowered her head slightly, smiling without speaking.

“Chief, let’s go see how we can make room for the new members,” Ning Luo suggested. Then she brought up the cave within the mountain. “I noticed the inner cave is quite large, and not many people are living inside. If everyone squeezes together a little, we can free up some extra space. Every bit counts. And aren’t the small rooms dug too far apart? Maybe they could be closer.”

Black Wolf stood still, frowning as he weighed her words. Before, he had believed that since the Lado Tribe discovered the cave, its inner spaces should be reserved for their own members. The only exception would be if the allied tribes were wounded during the Beast Tide, in which case they could be sheltered inside.

But Ning Luo’s words gave him pause. The inner cave was indeed large, and the small chambers were spread quite far apart. They could dig more if needed.

“Perhaps it could work…” Black Wolf began, but Tang Guo cut him off.

“If Chief isn’t worried about the mountain collapsing, then by all means, dig out more small spaces. Better yet, hollow out the entire mountainside. Then it won’t just fit three tribes, it’ll fit thirty.”

The spots they had carved so far were ones she and Yin Yao had agreed on, ensuring the mountain would remain stable. If they kept digging beyond those limits, no one could guarantee what might happen.

If the mountain collapsed, the danger would come long before the Beast Tide, and the people of the Lado Tribe might be crushed to death under stone.

Ning Luo clearly hadn’t thought of this. Her expression wavered, and she quickly turned to Tang Guo. “Ah Guoguo, I’m sorry, I didn’t think that far ahead. If we dig too much, the mountain really might collapse. I was only worried about our allied tribes. If they’re forced to live outside, won’t that be dangerous?”

Regret flickered in her eyes. She truly hadn’t expected the consequences could be so serious, and she certainly didn’t want the mountain to collapse.

There will definitely be danger, Tang Guo thought.

But the Lado Tribe had already gone above and beyond. They had found shelter, yet still chose not to abandon their allies, and would even fight alongside them against the Beast Tide. That was already benevolence to the fullest.

And this Ning Luo? Where had such a Saintly Virgin come from? She still needed others to protect her, yet she was busy thinking about saving the world.
