“Aoli, don’t worry. I won’t steal your males. We’re friends, how could I ever do something like that?”
Aoli quickly nodded. “Yes, we’re friends. You would never do such a thing.”
Aoli completely believed Tang Guo’s words. She thought back to before, when it was over Gaien that she was almost persuaded by tribe members to cause trouble for Ning Luo.
Ever since she went to another tribe and met Mier and Mike, she felt Gaien was nothing special after all.
Maybe it was from spending more time with Ah Guoguo, but now she even found Mier and Mike rather good-looking, better than Gaien. Gaien was tall, strong, and heavily muscled, looking full of explosive power.
Mier and Mike, though considered thin and weak among male beastmen and not very popular, might have long ago been chosen by other females if not for that.
But that day, she had happened to witness them kill a wild beast together. At that moment, she thought these two beastmen were amazing.
So she went up to meet them and followed them back to their tribe.
They were brothers, and they greeted her warmly. Perhaps because they had long been disliked by female beastmen, they were cautious around her at first, afraid of upsetting her.
The more time she spent with them, the more Aoli felt they were good. Though they didn’t match her original ideals, they weren’t without strength either. At that time, Aoli decided she would bring them back to her tribe.
Bringing them back was easy. Almost no one objected.
Some female beastmen even gave her looks that seemed to say she had picked up discarded scraps.
The male beastmen, however, were happy for Mier and Mike. Some even patted their shoulders with a laugh, saying, “You finally have a female.” The way they said it made it sound like no one had wanted them before.
Aoli patted her head. Wasn’t that the truth?
On the way back, the two grew much warmer toward her. From being cautious at first, they now treated her with great affection. Wherever she went, they followed. Whatever she wanted, they did right away.
Thinking back on Gaien, he had always been cold and distant, and it had always been her who stuck close and treated him well.
That made her like Mier and Mike even more. After returning to the tribe, she heard that Ah Guoguo had found a cave for shelter, and the tribe was preparing to move.
Happy at heart, she couldn’t resist bringing her mates before her best friend to meet her.
“Mier, just move my things. Mike, go help Ah Guoguo.” Aoli generously asked Mike to help Tang Guo.
Mike quickly nodded. “Alright, my Aoli.”
Aoli laughed happily. “When we’re done, I’ll cook meat soup for you both. I’ve collected a lot of hides. When I have time, I’ll sew clothes for you to wear when it’s cold.”
Mier and Mike exchanged a look. Their eyes grew warmer, their gazes almost glued to Aoli.
Their female was truly wonderful.
From childhood, they had always been despised. After becoming adults, not a single female had wanted them. Even though they could defeat other males, the females thought they were too ugly, refused them, and didn’t believe in their strength.
But their Aoli was different. There was never any disdain in her eyes. Since meeting her, they felt the sun shine warmer and everything they did was full of energy.
When Aoli asked them to follow her, they hadn’t hesitated for a second.
Hearing Aoli say she would cook meat soup and sew clothes for them made silly smiles spread across their faces.
