Yin Yao’s ears were already burning red. If he hadn’t been trying so hard to control himself, his whole face would have been flushed. Just as he was hesitating about whether to tell the truth, Tang Guo turned her head to the other side and spoke.
“High Priest, it looks like they’re finished.”
Yin Yao also looked over. The grass over there had indeed stopped swaying, and those strange sounds had also ceased.
“I wonder if it’s Ning Luo.” Tang Guo turned her back to Yin Yao, a playful smile on her lips. Teasing a little was enough. No need to scare him off.
System: So bad.
Yin Yao pressed his palm against the back of Tang Guo’s head as the two of them hid deep in the grass, watching intently. Soon, they saw a tall, strong, handsome beastman stand up, holding Ning Luo in his arms. Her face was flushed, and she looked completely limp.
They looked at each other, and Tang Guo whispered, “So it really is.”
Yin Yao didn’t speak. Vigo, still basking in his pleasure, had a satisfied smile on his lips as he carried Ning Luo away. After their figures disappeared, Tang Guo and Yin Yao stood up.
“High Priest, let’s go back.”
Yin Yao came back to his senses and nodded. Now that he knew Ning Luo was safe, he wasn’t exactly relieved. With Gaien’s temperament, once he found out Ning Luo had become another beastman’s female, he would definitely challenge him.
Holding Tang Guo’s hand, he slowly walked back toward the tribe, wondering if he should tell Gaien about this.
Tang Guo smiled faintly and spoke to the system, “Yin Yao is worrying too much.”
“Gaien will meet Ning Luo soon.”
The system was startled, then flipped through the storyline carefully. After reviewing several scenes, it was left with the feeling of having been completely fooled.
So it turned out that Gaien was supposed to stumble upon Vigo carrying Ning Luo back to his place today. At that time, Ning Luo was still limp in his arms, her face flushed red. Anyone could tell what had happened.
In such a hellish scene, of course the two beastmen couldn’t hold back from fighting. In the end, it was Ning Luo who calmed them both down. Then… in her guilt, she grew weaker and thinner. The two of them couldn’t bear it anymore, and slowly they compromised, deciding to share their beautiful Ning Luo.
When they returned to the tribe, Yin Yao couldn’t help but retreat to his stone house to study the beast hide and other unusual things found in the cave.
Tang Guo, tactful enough not to disturb him, went back to her own cave to sleep. Best to rest early in case the tribe got too noisy at night.
At sunset, Black Wolf returned with the members of the tribe. Gaien did not come back. Recently, he had been so focused on searching for Ning Luo that he hadn’t joined them in hunting.
Not long after Black Wolf returned, Yin Yao summoned him over. Sitting at the entrance of her cave, Tang Guo clearly saw Black Wolf come out of the stone house. That usually stern face carried a hint of joy.
Then he called all the tribe members together and publicly announced, “Ah Guoguo discovered a cave. Inside the mountain there are two large chambers. The High Priest has confirmed it. They can accommodate our entire tribe.”
And there was even extra space.
If they used this time to carve out more areas, they could store food there as well.
The beast tide would last from five to fifteen days. As long as they hid for those two weeks, the members of their tribe would be safe. With enough food, water, and fruit stored up, they only needed to remain in the cave to survive this year’s beast tide.
